I am crap at deciding what clothes to buy and i'd like to look nicer than I currently do.

I like the leggings and tunic/dress look and I think I look ok in that but I am struggling to find tunics I like, some are just so in your face lol.

So, I have found some and would like opinions. I am going to apologise in advance for the owl one, but for some reason I am drawn to it grin

flowery dress

owl tunic

weird people dress

fatface again

They are all normally more money than i'd normally spend on a single item, but I feel so scruffy lately that I think I need to spend a bit more on a couple of things.

I am 31, size 12, and 5'2, dark hair and eyes and large boobs.

All comments welcomed

Argh the Joe browns links don't work

NervousNutty Tue 08-Sep-09 19:01:16

Ok the Joe Browns ones should be, the flowery dress is on the first page of dresses, 2nd from right top row. The owl and weird people one are on same page next row down.

I like both FatFace dresses v much... off to look at Joe Browns...

NervousNutty Tue 08-Sep-09 19:03:20

My fave at the mo is the first fat face one.

cocolepew Tue 08-Sep-09 19:04:59

I like all of them. The owl one is similar to a dress I have from La Redoute, until you are up close you can't see that the pattern is little skulls.

PrincessToadstool Tue 08-Sep-09 19:05:04

LOVE the owl one, like the flowery, not keen on weird people

Another vote for the fat face ones.

Have you tried Mina? They have some lovely tunics as worn by Kiera Knightly and similar slebs. Some are expensive but others are fine.

cocolepew Tue 08-Sep-09 19:05:54

Wired people is my least favourite.

cocolepew Tue 08-Sep-09 19:06:12

Weird blush

NervousNutty Tue 08-Sep-09 19:14:45

Yes weird people was my least fave too.

Not heard of Mina, off to google.

NervousNutty Tue 08-Sep-09 19:15:14

Anyone know what fat face sizing is like ??

Lilyloo Tue 08-Sep-09 19:18:15

Can't find the owl and weird one like the second fat face one

NervousNutty Tue 08-Sep-09 19:21:37

Oh dear, I love alot of the Mina stuff

PrincessToadstool Tue 08-Sep-09 19:23:57

Fat face are on the generous side, I think. I'd go and try stuff on if you can. But if you order online don't forget 10% with Mumsnet

NervousNutty Tue 08-Sep-09 19:28:17

Thanks guys, just gonna finnish bathing the kids and going to have a good look and decide what to get.

madeupsurname Tue 08-Sep-09 19:39:31

They are all nice - you've got good taste!

NervousNutty Tue 08-Sep-09 19:46:00

Ah thanks smile

NervousNutty Tue 08-Sep-09 19:55:40

I can't seem to see the 10% off thing for Fat Face in the mn shopping bit.

PrincessToadstool Tue 08-Sep-09 20:10:12

Think it is OL8MN ??

NervousNutty Tue 08-Sep-09 20:22:28

Thank you.

Also does anyone know what the sizing is lke for Joe Brown stuff ??

I can sometimes be a 14 in a top because of my bust but I also have alot of 12's too.

I love the owl one. Weird people dress is growing on me actually, would wear for an evening to go to an indie gig or something rather than a daytime dress, despite the name.

fatface shirt dress is nice, not sure about the shape of the other fatface one.

PrincessToadstool Tue 08-Sep-09 21:59:06

Nutty I've only ordered one thing from Joe Browns and that was a misguided empire line dress just after having a baby hmm nothing like feeling as if you're still pregnant! anyway I think they are slightly on the generous side.

The owl/weird people look a bit loose-fit anyway but the floral one with the crossover you might need a bit more room in. Try MAR917 or MAR883 for a discount there, I got those from but not sure if they're still valid.

princess thanks for that joe browns code, worked perfectly

NorkilyChallenged Thu 17-Sep-09 21:02:23

Princess, thanks for the code, I used it too and got the owl tunic (which I am wearing now and totally adore!). I also got this.

Both are great, though probably a little bit too short to wear with leggings sadly (would show much too much when I bend over shock wink)
