Boden catalogue

Having read numerous comments about Boden on here, I decided to send for a catalogue. It came, offering me 10% off my first order plus free returns. I haven't ordered anything, and yesterday I received another catalogue and to try to tempt me to order the discount has now been upped to 11%! Wow, that really makes a difference! I do like some of the things in the catalogue (the layered ditsy scoop neck top) but wonder if I'm really too old for Boden. What would you suggest for a 60 year old out of the catalogue?

No - you are not too old - I'm off on holiday this morning so can't trawl through the catalogue with you, but as the dresses are not really short on the whole and the tops and trousers ( well, all but the fun ones) are quite "sensible" you have loads of choice. I'm 53 and have bought Boden from the very start ( orange silk blouse and velvet leopard print trouserc c1996 ) My boss who would be about your age usually weard Boden for work. I'm sure you will sound something lovely, but the knitted Henley dress seems very popular this time round.

I would describe Boden as 'classic' clothing that is suitable for all age groups. It's not exactly in fashion nor is it out of fashion. That is the key to it i think. So if you buy Boden, the item will remain looking attractive from one season to the next. I think i am trying to say that the stuff represents good value in fact becaaue it is pretty timeless. High street clothing tends to copy trends more and therefore what you buy tis winter may not be the done thing next winter.

I would suggest trying some of the wide leg trousers and perhaps a cardigan or two to see what you think. I ordered this week for the first time and am really happy with what i have recieved. A couple of things are going back but most of it i love.

I also meant to say, look at some of the boden threads on here as there are better discounts out there than 11%. I think that 15% is the best around at the moment.

Boden isn't really for young people, agree with chattermouse on how she described it.
I think someone of your young years would look great in some of the stuff so go for it.
