Can the MN style gurus please help me accessorize this dress

I am hopeless at choosing things to go with clothes and need some help. I bought this dress today to wear to a) a 50th in a friends house at the end of Sept for which the invite stipulates 'black tie/cocktail/long' and b) a wedding in early December.

I was wondering about silver shoes and bag or black? And I also have a white coat which is the same length as the dress which I thought I could wear for the wedding. But I have no clue really. Do I need a necklace (my inclination is to not wear one)? What style of shoes, (I will wear heels but need to be wearable/bearable)? Tights? Hat? Do I need different stuff for each event?

If it makes a difference, I am 5'7'', with mid length brown hair, which i will probably chop a bit off into a shortish/chin length bob. Ample curves

This dress is so far from what i would normally wear (I usually follow triinny and susannah rules about big boobs=low necklines but fancy a change from having to pin low necked tops and constanty worry about flasu=ing clevage)but it actually looks not bad and is quite flattering. but I'm a bit out of my depth with styling this, so all help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for waffling on for so long..

Oooooh, pretty dress! Just my opinion but I think silver shoes and a white coat with that dress would be a mistake. I would suggest black patent heels (round toed platforms a la Chezza Cole if you are feeling bold?), black fishnets and some biggish jet earrings. A necklace might be too fussy with that neckline.

Do feel free to ignore my advice though. I'm sat here in a pair of jeans and a hoodie so hardly Anna Wintour.

Thanks, I wondered about black, that would certainly be easier. I will def need a coat for the wedding, as Ireland in December will be freezing, but I need a decent new coat anyway.

Will start shoe hunting now, thanks.
