Just wondered as been caught out with fakes before and just wondered how come they were quite a bit cheaper than the ones in the shops. The ones I want are £190 in office but £169 on cloggs?

Just in case you are interested, which I'm sure you are not.....

These are real Australian Uggs which my sil and I wear after buying our first pairs in Oz, they are so nice and much cheaper than the American version (which is what everybody thinks of as being genuine) even with shipping.

I am always trying to convert people.......

I get my New Rocks from Cloggs and they are genuine.

The problem with the whole 'genuine' thing is that Ugg Australia (American - owned by Deckers) can't stop Australian companies calling Sheepskin boots Ugg boots as that is what they are called here. It's like trying to copyright "wellies" and then telling everyone that their wellies are fake.

In Australia Ugg Australia Uggs are about 140 pounds.

(my keyboard doesn't have a pound sign!!!!! It is new and I have just noticed....there is a % sign instead!. Nightmare)

WTWTA: what makes them nicer than American Uggs?

Have just been to the site you recommended and chocolate shorties were £103 including shipping (AUD 201). However, presumably you get stung on import tax though?

I once placed an A&F order when they were only US based and the tax was another £60 on top of my order!

Savoy: am getting v confused with the Uggs! Are you saying that the ones we call Ugg Australia here are pretty much the same price in Oz as they are here?

My Ugg Australia classic tall boots were Au$278 which is about 140 pounds. The non 'ugg australia' ugg boots are about half that.

They are listed as an official supplier on the Ugg Australia website. Not the online shop, but their shop in Birmingham.

Basically, there are loads of different brands of Ugg boots. They are popular in Oz and not everyone there wears the "Ugg Australia" brand, which is actually an American brand.

Most people in the UK would consider Ugg Australia brand the genuine brand because they have cornered the market a bit. There are loads of companies that sell them though with equal quality. So if you don't mind not having the trendy Ugg Australia tag, get them as they are cheaper.

The import tax wont be too much as they are low priced. A&F orders will get stung for tax because for some reason some brands are like waving a red flag in front of the C&E officers.

yy, Celtic Sheepskin are very good, my kids have them, they are really hardwearing, and they will replace bits of them, pannels, soles etc, so they are for life really, wish childrens feet didn't grow.
