no no no! not AoGG, more Aussie school uniform! And agree 100% - utterly hideous.

I'm offended. Truly. I was wearing that only last night.

They are foul - and so expensive!

i think you have to prove that you have v. long frizzy greying hair and fringe to buy those dresses

Ah yes, I can see it with opaque grey tights and Mary Janes.

And plaits.

There's a woman near us who wears things like that... she has a four seater pushchair which looks like a wheel barrow and she wheels her (at least) 8 children around in it (they're all aged about 5 and upwards), they've all got really Victorian names like Cicely and have their hair in ringlets, and she (the mother) wears a big long pinny over her dresses. I think she's stuck in a timewarp!

sort of thing a mormon wife no.1 would run up for wife no.2 out of spite.

I see your ugliest dress and raise you this one instead (same site)

I particularly enjoyed the irony of this statement on their webpage:
"All our woven garments are hand made in small quantities in the UK. We have phased production to enable our factory to cope with huge demand."
Not quite sure they're going to get as much demand as they'd hoped...

See thumbwitch, I can see that one looking quite funky on a young thing, wearing killer boots, black tights, peroxide bob and big shades.... the others are just hid!

Cabbages and roses must be for surrendered wives surely?

I'm sure it's the sort of thing I see the youngsters wearing around Hoxton square these days (or where ever the trendy folk hang out!) thumbwitch... maybe there's ever so subtle differences an oldie like me just wouldn't spot, ie not coming from Cabbages and Roses!

Oh you miserable fecks.

I quite like some of them. Big pair of funky boots, chunky jewellery, my fetching purple hair. I think I could carry it off.

Me, me me !
I have one of those dresses!
It is blue check but does not have a collar or a large safety pin. It is a great big smock thing. It is cool and it covers my gnormous arse and I wear it at home when I am slumoching.
It was not anything like that much money though - it was in the sale (of course)

I do not have pigtails. I look a bit like laura Ingles who grew and and moved to the town to become an unenthusiatic hooker. I always want to smoke and knock back gin when I wear it ( which is possibly another reason why I love it)

I shall wear it more now. I never knew I was freaking my postman out sop much til I read the comments on here. I am usually a Day birger and Christian Louboutin girl but every one is allowed an off day

toddlerama · 03/09/2009 13:47

I liked the last one....
