go on, tell me they're impractical as a post-natal, 'relaxing' at home choice Talk me to me about maternity towels. Go on.

You'll bleed on them and they'll get ruined.

Think they're horrid (sorry!)...clingy cashmere on even the stickiest of figures is not going to be flattering.

they will cling to your post-natal saddle bags and make you cry

nevergoogledragonbutter Wed 02-Sep-09 21:48:05

They will itch no?

janeite Wed 02-Sep-09 21:48:38

Wouldn't they be a bit ...ahem...sweaty?

LetThemEatCake Wed 02-Sep-09 21:49:07

fine, then nevergoogle. Find me summat else. Something luxe, mind - none of this "I've just had a baby and the saggy arse of my tracky bottoms reflects how it feels when I try to poo/ pee" business ...

LetThemEatCake Wed 02-Sep-09 21:52:49

post natal saddlebags indeed <<flounces>>

speak for yourself!!!

nevergoogledragonbutter Wed 02-Sep-09 21:53:45

i don't know anything about luxe, i've been wearing the same white stuff trackies for 6 years and this same uni sweater for nearly 15 years.

Hmm, I am a HUGE fan of cashmere, but tbh I think it's a waste of a good yarn to use it for trousers, they are bound to go baggy in the bum!

How about these?

LetThemEatCake Wed 02-Sep-09 22:24:18

yes, I looked at those but I don't think that wide legs do me any favours, since I am also quite wide of hip....

macherie Wed 02-Sep-09 22:36:49

I agree they are a bit 'flappy', but one would need to be very slim of thigh for your first ones. I bit too much pressure when you've just given birth.

I have a lovely pair of lounging trousers that are Ted Baker pj bottoms, lovely soft but not flimsy jersey with fab wide double faced satin ribbon as the drawstring.

Just found them that colour might not be great though, leakage and all that! Mine are deep dusty pink.

these are so much more appropriate

Fimbo Wed 02-Sep-09 23:23:51

You are not wide of hip!

Och if all else fails just head for Primark and a pair of joggers grin
