who on earth are these clothes designed for?

Ordered tracksuit for DS1 for school - size 11 - from Next. He is a tall 10yo (147cm+). The trouser length was fine but the waist was a total joke - about 4 inches too big and no drawstring.

But he's not thin really - kind of average I would say. And I believe Next actually do a bigger kids range too!

Who are these trousers supposed to fit? And more to the point, what is DS1 and his thnner pals (he has a number) supposed to do for joggers???

School uniforms are a nightmare . My dd is 5 very slim but I have to buy her skirts age 6-7 for length . Tracksuit trousers I have to buy age 4 and accept they are ankle flappers
Equally with summer dresses I had to buy 7-8!!.
I don't mean to be harsh but there are some chubby kids out there..what do they buy?

agree tis a nightmare!!

DDs 12 - 18 month t shirts from Gap are smaller than her 3 - 6 month t-shirts from Next. The sizing is all over the place everywhere you go.

My DS has grown lengthways out of some of his trousers before they have come anywhere near his waist. I am keeping them to discover when they might fit.

He is 3 in October and today wore a pair of shorts aged 3-6 months.
