He needs a good shorn.

ADriedFrogForTheBursar Sat 29-Aug-09 18:49:09

Agreed. If the barber's scissors slipped and cut that stupid surfey necklace off at the same time t'would be no loss either.

PleaseMrsButler Sat 29-Aug-09 18:50:19

yes...he is starting to look like James May (or at least he was last time I saw him).

Fimbo Sat 29-Aug-09 18:50:56

And that long leather mac thing he wears. I hope his wife is an MN'r.

deaddei Sun 30-Aug-09 14:00:06

And that necklace....Richard, you are not 18 or a surf dude.

noddyholder Sun 30-Aug-09 14:01:41

I find him unbearable in every way

sorky Sun 30-Aug-09 14:03:51

Does anyone think he's had a bit of a nipntuck as well?

Whilst watching Total Wipeout the other night he looked....taut.

Agree his hair is tragic.

YanknCock Sun 30-Aug-09 14:20:05

I just saw a repeat of Top Gear where his hair was quite short and it looked sooooo much better! Wish he'd get it chopped again. Barber could 'accidentally' snip off that stupid necklace too.

oh dear, I hadn't thought of that blush

Never mind then, just lose the necklace.

LadyOfTheFlowers Sun 30-Aug-09 14:40:13

He looks like a vagrant who has been on the tramp-fuel all afternoon.

sorky Sun 30-Aug-09 14:41:52

Ahhhh, there had to be a valid reason for the hairstyle, I guess scar covering is one of the better ones.

Doesn't explain the necklace though unfortunately..

Fimbo Sun 30-Aug-09 18:16:09

Oops blush

But surely it could be styled a bit better.

hippipotamiHasLost59lbs Sun 30-Aug-09 18:21:59

Mmm, I think he would look better with short hair and scars on show... But I guess he feels happier with his hair covering them.
But tidy it up please Richard!
Just cannot abide the 'I am trying to convince everyone I am 16 look at my long hair and surfer dude necklace' look.

FiveGoMadInDorset Sun 30-Aug-09 18:22:05

He and Captain Slow go to the same barber.

BexJ78 Sun 30-Aug-09 23:43:47

He looks quite pale as well on 'total wipeout'...we think he looks a bit like a vampire...
Not a good look at all.

tulpe Sun 30-Aug-09 23:47:39

Photo of him in the Guardian weekend magazine about 3 months ago........looked like Maureen Lipman.

Cannot stand any of the Top Gear team tbh. Wanky blokes with nothing witty to say between the 3 of them, no dress sense and who haven't matured beyond their 6th form years......

<snurk> Gap year beads.

MaryMotherOfCheeses Sun 30-Aug-09 23:54:46

I find it hard to believe that the crash justifies that haircut. There's no excuse for that flick surely.

Does anyone else think that in that picture in BALD's link, he looks a bit like Richard Madeley?

tulpe Mon 31-Aug-09 00:00:14

BALD - No that was the Q & A session but the original photo that went with that article was a studio pic with total airbrushing - he was wearing lipgloss....or so it seemed. Back in a somewhere on sleb twaddle thread.......

tulpe Mon 31-Aug-09 00:08:18

aha.....seems that the original photo of Mr Hammond which accompanied the article has been banished from all tinterweb links (probably due to the fact that not only was there a thread on MN about how crap he looked but also magazine bombarded with letters asking if he was actually morphing into Maureen Lipman..... can't imagine that was the only criticism.....)

ewww. He is so not nice or funny or stylish.....why is there a thread about him on here??
