Is there anything in existence more unflattering than a long denim skirt?

Yuck.
(And note Boden always pedal one year in, year out.)

I think the bandage 'bodycon' minidress is a pretty serious contender. You either look

a) like mutton
b) too fat/lumpy
c) too skinny/stringy
d) cheap and tarty

No-one has the right body for these things.

Mid calf a-line skirts are another appalling crime against fashion

Aye aye and thrice aye to ankle length A line jobby.

Long denim skirts always run the risk of looking matronly. And that's not something anyone aspires to be, is it!

Yes, a long denim skirt with, ruffles, gasp

Ooh d'you think?
A short denim skirt with right gear can look quite 'sassy' (as Boden would say).

Well I just witnessed the wearing of a long denim dress. It was a sight to behold! The women wearing it was large. The result was what looked like a small denim lorry TBH. Denim is for jeans IMO.

lol at lorry
Anyone wearing that Per Una monstrosity should be shot on sight. Minging.

Those funny 'hitchy' skirts and dresses are bad too. You know, the ones which make you look like you've got your dress caught in your pants?

Don't know about those SR. Are they all t'rage with young 'uns?

Lots of women wear those long thin button up denim dresses, sleeveless with a collar that tie up around the back.

Where in Gods name do they buy them from?

Sausagerocket - Per Una have those too . I know what you mean, though I quite like the idea, it never really works.

3/4 length trousers are hideous given that I'm now on a roll. Always make the wearers arse look huge (even if it isn't) and their legs look stumpy (even if they are not). The worst offenders are the 'sporty' jogger type ones, like these. Nearly always worn by overmade up 15yo with crispy hair, creole hoops and a Croydon facelift.

3/4 trousers and combats are the worst together with fleeces and anything coral

Hitchy example for moony's delectation

Crispy, you are indeed on a roll.
That skirt is unspeakable. I thought stuff like that only worn by cheeky Cockernees in chorus line of Oliver!?

I'm orff to gym to ward of middle aged matron bingo wings.

Keep 'em coming.

That hitched skirt is vile. If I wore that I'd be guaranteed to find old buns and matchbox cars in its folds by the end of the day.

I went to Alton Towers yesterday (I know, I know) and there was a v high cropped jogger/curly perm/creole hoop ratio.

[shudder]

Those hitchy skirts are a bit odd and I usually like the odder end of fashion.

I can't stand shapeless jackets that comes to below the bottom. Never going to do anyone any favours.

I have a longish linen skirt from M&S and I had to bin it after my dh's grandmother yes, I said grandmother was wearing the same one at a family barbeque.

I am relieved that I wasn't wearing mine than day, but I did feel compelled to buy this the next day and it is fantastic!!!
