Another leggings question......what colour do you wear?

I bought black and navy full length leggings last year. I found I wore the black a lot but don't think I wore the navy at all.

Sometimes, however, I think the black can look a bit harsh - particularly for summer/autumn wear.

Am wondering if dark grey (warm-ish tone not the marl type greys a la "Fame"/Flashdance) would look less so or are they a total no-no?

Chocolate brown maybe?

I've seen some nice Charcoal ones, in Next I think

Great idea, Bleh! Hadn't considered brown.

Much of wardrobe my winter wardrobe is navy, grey and teal so a chocolate brown would work with those shades......I think.

I have tried to work in a few berry tones for this winter to brighten things up (I start out loving my greys at the beginning of autumn and then pining for colour by December!) so am thinking choc brown would work with those too??

Yes, I think it should work with those colours. I also need some colour in my winter wardrobe, otherwise I go a bit funny

I wear black, dark grey (not the light grey ones), and navy. I do not think I could get away with wearing bright colours or white.

Those first ones are a nice tone but want some without the marl in them, iyswim.

The second would make me look like Rod Stewart circa 1973

Get the second ones from Next, Gwan, channel Bet Lynch

I stick to black, because whilst I am losing weight, they flatter me best, legs are not exactly pin-like

Agree, OMDB. I wouldn't consider bright colours or white for leggings. Am definitely too old and have wrong shaped legs for those options!

Would have to be worn with short, tight fitting low-cut top though to totally work the look, no?

Yes, deffo, go for it!

Have just looked at M&S, they have loads, but not sure of they are too light/bit marly.

May be worth a peek instore to see?

I've got a pair of royal blue and a pair of dark purple from F+F at Tesco. They are only £5 so thought it didn't really matter if I hated them after a few wears!

I have a dark grey pair from Topshop, find it a really flattering but versatile colour with my summer/autumn (!) wardrobe. As you say, not as harsh as black. (My wardrobe is full of colour so a dash of grey won't kill it dead )

Black, black patterned of various types or very dark grey. I look like a clown in anything else.
