do i call store to see if they have 'right' size or just live with it? Was in sale in monsoon
is dress like this www.polyvore.com/monsoon_accessorize_vicki_pointelle_dress/thing?id=7820948

I am a size 16 dress and large bust but trousers etc are size 12. Thought dress was a 16 and tried it on, it is quite snug though not uncomfy and gives me a flattering shape, hugs my bum nicely and thought my boobs are large doesnt make the rest of me big. Only downside is that i can breastfeed in it. Anyway.. i tried it on for dp and ds1 at home and got the thumbs up but then i looked at the label again and saw size and now paranoid i look like i have 'poured' myself into too small a dress.

Is for family do for grandparents and want to look nice.. rarely go shopping and have little confidence with my image as it is.. Arghh.

Have you called a different store to see if they have one in stock that you can exchange?

If it fits then it doesn't matter what size it is does it??

If it looks flattering, ignore the label! DP likes it too!

I think it is the whole mental block thing. If i had actually tried on my 'right' size and found it too big then i would have tried on smaller. I know it is very silly and prob really doesnt matter but i am a bit nervous about looking a complete tit infront of my older sisters. It doenst help that we still have only 2 very tiny mirrors at home and no big ones so i can actually um and err infront of it

downside was 'cant' not can bf in it. See i am unable to type or read labels in shops!

monsoon have weid sizes, I swear they are made bigger then on the label. It depends how often you are bf, you could always find somewhere discreat and take it off/change, then change back.

Monsoon sizes tend to come up big IME, so a Monsoon 12 is in many cases "really" a 14, so only one size less than you aimed for. If it looks good, don't worry.

For future events, have you considered Bravissimo? You could probably get a 12 Really Curvy or Super Curvy in their dress styles and get a good fit for you.

It's a nice dress. Get DP to take a photo so you can really see for yourself what it looks like. Especially from the back. If it looks good stuff the size label!

First time I shopped at monsoon (and might now be hooked) so didnt know their sizing. Next comes up big on me. Re the bf not feeding often now though he'd prob want loads just because he cant get at them

Will get dp to take photo, going to brave it and just go for it. I just wish i hadnt looked at the label iykwim as that little seed of doubt now planted

Thanks for link to bravissimo.. looking on there now
