Wedding invite, no dress, need help, yadda yadda yadda

Off to a wedding in September and need a new dress!

Budget is £75 max but would prefer cheaper. I'm 29, 5'4 and a size 14.

Good boobs, decent legs and arms but a bit of a jelly baby since having dd 10 months ago (thank god for spanx!).

I have long dark hair, blue/grey eyes and a wee bit of a tan at the moment.

I would describe my style as retro/hippyish/punky/50's pin-up (phew!). I love dresses that are structured and help enhance my natural shape whilst sucking in my gut! Hate anything floaty. Can't do fussy necklines with my generous frontage. Like showing the girls off but in a demure way of course .

Anyway I've trawled through the usual suspects...Coast, Karen Millen, Monsoon etc and am bored rigid.

Have found this fab online boutique in the states and am loving these....opinions please?

very pretty and Doris Day-esque but is the print too large?

Think the shape would flatter

Absolutely LOVE this one-it's so me but worried it wouldn't suit my shape?

Also quite like this one from good ol Debenhams

Also what shoes/bag to to with them? Gah I'm useless!

Any help much appreciated!

Shameless bump but really need accessory help!

Bought the last dress today - the Debenhams one. It's a totally different colour in really life and is actually...

more like this colour. Alas I am not like it's wearer

Now I need shoes and a bag. Have black but want something a bit more exciting. Green would be too matchy matchy. Was thinking nude or maybe metallic.

Can do big heels in fact I kind of rely on them!

Any advice?

Hey, I'll bump and join you i'm in the same situation.

I have a wedding the end of august my DP is best man and I have nothing to wear.
I'm 5'6, size 8, have a small chest and flat tummy , also have blonde hair just above shoulder length.
I like the retro look and 50's & 60's styles, have roughly about £50 to spend although would love cheaper.

thanks

Bunny the debenhams one is nice.

P.s I don't want to wear black, and I need to look fantastic as an ex is going.

price for shoes & bag?

Oooh about £75 max for both. Would love cheaper though!

Would a totally clashing colour work? I've seen some gorgeous purple shoes and some fab pink ones.

I think purple would work

I have to offer these again. Perfect with green and extremely comfortable as they have a sort of gel cushion inside.

I found this to go with it if you want "matchy-matchy". You might prefer to get something more neutral though.

Thanks InThese! I quite like the bag but not the shoes I'm afraid....sorry! I'm after something more platformy with a higher heel.

I'm thinking gold shoes and accessories might work too?

how about these instead

Purple and platform and still relatively cheap.

goes upstairs to stroke purple court shoes and reassure them that they are still beautiful emoticon

Like those ones InThese! And your other ones are lovely! Just not high enough for my short arse!

Have just bought

these beauties!

Just got to find a bag and some jewellery now. I'm thinking either a cuff or some earrings. I'll have my hair up to show off the dress so earrings might look nice. Off to search!

Still trying to find a bag. What do you think of these?

I'm stuck on jewellery. Can't help thinking green or purple would be too matchy? Would silver be good?

would match the shoes really well I think but is it too plain?

croc skin

gorgeous but a bit pricey!

nice shoes

I prefer the plain bag

Silver jewelry would work well

Thanks Eldon! Got 10 off them as well so am very pleased!

Yeah I think I'll try to win that bag.

I think I'm going to go with a silver bangle I already have and some simple silver earrings.

Ta again.

Bows to the greatness of Bunny Lebowski's most excellent purple shoes, and plans trip to Dorothy Perkins twirls in new name is mildly ashamed to have bought skirt in Planet today solely due to its "matching purple shoes" abilities

Thanks PurpleShoes and YouLuka!! Bet the skirt's lovely Purple!

I'm making a big effort as it will be the first time I've seen most of these people since having dd (10 months ago) and want to prove I'm not a tracksuit wearing, messy haired, milky boobed disaster (well not all the time anyway!).

Bought the first bag in my links today and just have to find some earrings and some way of putting my hair up now!

Eeeek! Shoes have just arrived and they're BEEEYOOOTIFUL!!!

But so perilously high!

I've just been trotting about in my pj bottoms looking like a baby giraffe much to dd's amusement!

strokes precious pretty shoes and vows to practice walking in them to minimise chance of falling on arse at wedding
