I have these but in dark brown - wore them on holiday in Spain. They go with everything and are very soft leather so really comfy.

I paid £25.00 so £20.00 is a bargain IMO.

Not sure you will really need anything too dressy. Contrary to what you may think about France everyone (not just the British) seems to dress down even in the evening - on campsites anyway. I feel overdressed next to everyone else even in a nice top and white jeans. Cropped trousers and crocs seem to be de rigour... which is annoying when holidays are the one time of year we go out a lot in the evening.

I have ordered 2 pairs today from Amazon. There is a black or yellow carvela pair and a red gant pair - both reduced. I'm not linking as my links never work!

thanks for all comments

grapefruitmoon i have a sneaking suspicion htat will be the case!! white jeans and a nice top or a 'day dress' are what i want for evenings but i get the feeling all i will need are tshirts and shorts

can anyone else advise?

Go for it anyway!

I like these sandals though they are flat, not wedge

here

Our campsite last year had a hill up to the bar/restaurant so any heels would have been difficult...

Hmm they look a leetle "matronly" for my liking but you would have to try them on I suppose to see what they were like in RL...

Hi have these here.

They are fab for daytime or casualish nightime, mega comfy and funky. I get loads of compliments about them from random strangers.

They look good with jeans/shorts skirts and dresses.

nice, the hairybabysmum, but i am too old for them

i have sent off for both of the matronly ones to see what they look like on!

seriously i appreciate all the comments - i got a load of sale T-shirts and some nice swimwear too so i think i am sorted!

Im 39 if that helps...thats why these shoes are so good as they are ultra comfy as per matronly pairs but without making you feel matronly IYSWIM!!

trust me im no means trendy.

You only need flip flops. honest.

Report
chuffinell · 29/07/2009 14:36

puppymonkey i like flip flops but i have horrid bunions that poke out on each big toe, and i dont like them on show. i may end up sending the new wedge sandals back and just taking my comfy mum sandals from Clarkes!

anyway, didnt know debenhams did bra fittings, thanks cornsilk

I hate my toes as i have funny ones that cross over but these sandals hide all that is gruesome about my feet. I think they would hide a bunion too.

re bras, have you got a dept store near you or small independent bra shops also good.

If i win the lottery on sat i will happily send you some holiday money!!

chuffinell - re: bras - I think bravissimo do all sizes, dont think you have to be large norked!

ooh i like them sixtyfootdoll, if my m&s ones are no good, i may go for them, thanks for that link - just what i was after. they need to be bunion covering straps, or at least partly

re the bras, i went to debenhams yesterday and got a proper measure up - it wd seem i am larger norked than i thought! i have been wearing a floppy tshirt bra style in 36c for years, and aghast at the sagginess of my chest! the lovely lady in Debenhams eyed me up, get the tape out, dismissed my plea for a tshirt bra, and strapped me into a 34E - i nearly collapsed, it was like having a boob job!!! i have trifictits now!!

of course i had to buy 2 and matching knicks, and more 'everyday' pants. so hairybabysmum i really need that lotto money now!!
