they look cheap, sorry.

Ermmmm....not sure what to say really. They are wrong on a few levels. Bit of a departure from your usual style then!

What were you going to wear them with?

not sure I will be wearing them with anything - kind of agree with Nancy. Struggle with having any style in the shoe department due to my size 9s.

If you were planning to wear them in the nude then they may be just what you are looking for !!

I am same as you, a trainers, birkies kind of person but not keen on those at all sorry.

I think that image would result in DH in laughter convulsions more than anything else.

depends completely on what shape your legs are in, if you have slightly (and I mean the slightest) chubby calves or dreaded Lankles, where your leg just dissapears into your foot and you lack a shapely calf or ankle, they will look hiddeous

my spelling is terrible, never mind!!

OnlyWantsOne · 26/07/2009 21:52

just spotted you have s9 feet.... walk away from these shoes, invest in some thing else, with a higher heel if yu want snazzy party shoes, it will make your feet look smaller, and make legs shapely

like the mary janes on the same page....

My feet have gone up half a size since breeding...

okay at the risk of being considered to have complete disaster in taste what do you reckon on these mary janes again
Legs aren't great but not bad either. Not sure about anything too high as I am 5'11" already.

The first pair are pretty dreadful IMO.

The second are an improvement but a bit lacking in the style department.

suwoo · 26/07/2009 22:29

I think the second pair are worse, in fact waaaaaaaaaaaaay worse. Sorry, don't mean to be horrible.

I absolutely hate shoe shopping . Generally I need to go online as most stores stop at 41 (european size)- I'm a 43.

Didn't see either of those as the links didn't work for me, but have you tried LongTallSally? Sorry if I'm stating the obvious.

purlease · 26/07/2009 22:50

Long tall sally selection is very limited but thanks anyway

Second ones ming ming ming and will make feet look yet more vast. They are just boring.

First ones I don't like, but if you like them and don't have lankles you might be ok. At least they're saying something. Whether you want to say that or not is a question for your conscience....

Report
specialmagiclady · 26/07/2009 22:56

these might be a better transition from Birkies/Trainers etc.

Report
purlease · 26/07/2009 22:58

boring might be where I'm at - don't really like drawing attention to my feet (they are in proportion to the rest of me ) but really fed up with the 'sensible' shoes I always seem to end up wearing.

Thanks specialmagiclady. I had actually found that website earlier. They are quite nice but I think I would like a bit more of a heel.

some people can pull that look off - I don't think I can - it would be just a bit too out of character for me. Sometimes wish I could reinvent myself - always blame my size 9s on not being able to.

I don't like them, sorry.
I think Next had some nicer shoes in this sort of style.

Normally I get shoes in Next but recently every style I liked appeared to be out of stock in size 9. Might check site out again - they may have new stock following sale.

I just got the link to work - I actually liked the first ones for someone who suits a very feminine style and who wears outfits to match. The second ones look really old-fashioned and I can't see them flattering anybody.

If you feel you never know what suits you try and see an image consultant; you'll never dither again.

Was starting to consider the hush puppies, special magiclady, but their 9 is a 42 and I am a 43. Any more suggestions anyone. looking for something to wear with a simple navy dress.
