Why are JIGSAW clothes so hideous?

Just been in there to see if there's anything decent in the sale. The shop is full of the most shapeless clothes. And they're not exactly cheap - who on earth buys these things. I remember years ago getting a few nice things, but there's absolutely nothing in there now I would buy

Me too - went in to try and buy something a couple of weeks ago, walked right out again.

Agree. Most of their stock is hideous and expensive. Not a good combo. I bought a lovely navy silk twill shirt from there in the spring but wouldn't bother with anything else.

I know! Years ago I got a gorgeous bias cut linen dress for peanuts because it had a hole in it - nothing so simple now.

Have a lovely classic wool suit, sadly a size 10....
Quite a few old blouses
And of course, my sex vest

Chevre....seeing those words "bias cut" and "silk twill" written in the same sentence in your post has suddenly made me feel very middle aged .

In my defence, I do not do bias cut - makes my ass look mahoosive

I totally agree. I used to buy all my clothes(well most, well the nice things) from Jigsaw about 10 years ago, and I'm seriously miffed that they have not grown older gracefully with me. I'm quite a lazy and unimaginative shopper, but I like a wee bit of hippiness which they were great at. Will have to just be another bloody boden mum now. pah!
