My DD (2.5) and I are due to go to a christening in a few weeks' time; I'm going to be the godmother. Which means I've an excuse to buy a nice dress for my girl, hooray!

Seen a lovely dress for her already, but it's all white, except for a brown/bronze belt. Question is, is it ok to dress her in white for someone else's christening (can always accent with brown hat & cardigan)?

Never been to a christening before (scary but true!) so I've got no idea!

Quick answers appreciated; it's on ebay and the auction's ending soon...

Hmm, I wouldn't personally.

I can't see the issue at all.

Not ideal, imo. I would avoid it just in case (think white in church is always a bit "look at me...")

And lots of kids of that age do get christened, so potential for some confusion

I wouldn't either, pick another.

Thanks guys! You're right there's plenty of non-white options; I'll hold out for one of them.
