its a miracle

anyone find it hard to say " i just want it brown"?

tattycoram Sun 12-Jul-09 09:48:21

Not really, I am always desperate that they make it look as natural as possible - ie dark brown. Last time I got it done at the hairdresser it had a wierd black bit in it, which is a bit awkward as she is a good cutter and keeps asking me if I want her to colour my hair again. Answer no, home results much better thanks <rambling>

Was the hairdresser biting his/her lip? It's the hairdressers that can't bring themselves to do natural colours.

LOL.I know. when they get that book out and i think " hmmt he navy is rather nice" .. but i want it brown
i say " i dont want it to look like its dyed i dont want black witch hair and ther eis NO RED in my hair and i dont want raccon stripesa nd I havenet been blonde since 1973"

then she got it

I always have blond highlights. Every time I have to argue against black/red stripes in amongst it. They seem to think I'm stifling their creativity.

Simples Sun 12-Jul-09 10:01:29

i have never had highlights

or a perm
or fainted
[placed a bet
mowed a lawn
painted a room
nosebleed
drunk locozade
but hey enough abotu me wink

Haha at raccoon.

I told mine to dye mine brown - wanted it back to my natural colour because couldn't afford to keep having the highlights done. She persuaded me that it would look too harsh all brown and needed a FEW small ones to break it up. But my natural hair colour IS all brown anyway?!

Ah well its all grown out now and back to my natural colour.

Simples you have a life of leisure.

Simples Sun 12-Jul-09 10:06:34

oh i do all sorts of other stuff.

Simples Sun 12-Jul-09 10:07:21

Lol at natural colour being too harsh.
i hate the women of a certian age who deludeldly think they are white blonde stil

but seem to end up green

GiraffesCanRunA10k Sun 12-Jul-09 10:07:38

I have never had a perm either - my hairs annoyingly wavy and sometimes I think all curly permed would be great. But have heard so many horror stories...!

cornsilk Sun 12-Jul-09 10:07:38

Including MNing a fair bit lately...!

I thought everyone over the age of 35 was made to drink lucozade when sickly as a child.

Simples Sun 12-Jul-09 10:08:03

wink
job contract finito

pointydog Sun 12-Jul-09 10:08:22

And I have no trouble getting the haridresser to dye my hair brown.

Your hairdresser must be very chi-chi

cornsilk Sun 12-Jul-09 10:11:51

Agree pointy - those bottles with the orange cellophane on them were the only cure for childhood ills in the 70's.

pointydog Sun 12-Jul-09 10:13:48

yes, it was awful. Never liked the stuff. Lucozade to drink and packet or tinned chicken noodle soup to eat.

GiraffesCanRunA10k Sun 12-Jul-09 10:16:07

Lucozade is vile

SueW Sun 12-Jul-09 10:31:59

My hairdresser dyes my hair brown no problem.

In the past I have had bright red streaks in it, but still quite subtle. Pic on my profile.
