looks at profile

I think it will suit you... but hair and shoes will be all important.

Well, ok. It's not to my taste certainly.

But you are very voluptuous, whereas I should wear clothes with Goodyear printed on them. So I am sure it will look nice on you.

agree with Sheeta

If you trendied it up with some fab shoes (and NO NECKLACE) it could look great. but it's all in the accessories. I cannot stress this enough. It's life OR DEATH PEOPLE

What's it for anyway, I mean, what occasion?

Report
Sheeta · 10/07/2009 20:26

yes, what occasion. Think you need colourful but simple shoes, heels obviously though. Hair down and curled at the bottom. yes, agree with NO NECKLACE but maybe a bracelet?

Its one of those dresses that could go either way.
Depends on how you carry it off.
On me it would look a bit 'Stepford wife'

you know you're going to have to put a photo of you wearing it on your profile, don't you

same shoes as the model is wearing, might work... it is a bit tricky that dress, with lots of confidence and the right figure then it might be quite good.... have you got lovely arms and shoulders?... they are going to be on display.

by chevre's reckoning I would be a Laura Ashley sofa, soft and quite plump.

could work......

as everyone has already said, shoes and hair are all important.

NOT yellow shoes.

As a general rule tis best to choose accessories in a colour from the dress but, and I stress this, the colour that is LEAST prominent in the pattern. Try it, you'll be surprised how it works.

Needs to be carried off with bucketloads of confidence, methinks!

Reckon it could be good though. You might be able to give it a bit of 'rock chick' edge, esp depending what you do with your hair (model's is a bit tame).

TheRealMrsJohnSimm · 10/07/2009 21:22

Definitely think with right accessories/attitude you could turn it from potential sofa to Carrie-esque/rock chick cool.

Mamazon · 11/07/2009 10:07

well i have a pair of red patent shoe/boots.
how about those?
and if i curl my hair but pull it over to just one side?

very rock chick but not sure im not 10 years too old and 10 stone too fat to pull it off

Make sure it fits. I saw a woman last night outside a City bar wearing a similar frock and it was approximately 2 sizes too small. She looked like a Victorian chintz sofa, overstuffed with horsehair.

I personally would look like a burst couch in it I just could not carry it off but seriously if anyone could it is you.
I think you will look fab in it, (have nosed at your pics) you curve in the right places and that is what a bright print like that needs.

Report
TheFool · 11/07/2009 10:37

You have the right curves, but I think you amazonianesque figure could destroy the curves good work and end up with the whole sofa/vase effect

gorionine · 11/07/2009 10:42

I like it! It definitely does not look like MY sofa, as there does not seem to be any DCs scribbles on the dress!
