Hmm - how high a heel are you after? I'm thinking metallic - gold or silver, depending on which you prefer for jewellery.

Or if you don't fancy metallic, maybe navy blue (the safe choice), or something that clashes wildly with it, like yellow (maybe ).

not navy too dull

thought silver at first but then thought maybe nude? do have silver sandals and pale gold sandals but thought nude shoes may be more elegant?

dress is just above knee abd wondered if sandals may not be as classy as shoes?

can do high enough heels

Yes, those could work. These are rather nice, but maybe too much having satin shoes and a satin dress - a contrast in texture is probably better.

I do feel that peep toe might make it seem more summery, too, but I know what you mean about sandals and lots of leg showing. Can look less formal.

mine are like these but without buckle

THat sounds good - I was about to link to these, but they're not in the sale .

(Couldn't resist posting these - aren't they a fantastic colour, though not for your dress, sadly.)

oh i likt those and know what you mean re peep toe

just wondered if i could get away with wearing ones i had and then i could tlak myself into spending £99 on nude patent bag i saw in lk bennett sale (not on their website) but is lovely!

would spend up to £100 if i could get those shoes or similar with nice clutch

Beautiful jewellery here hand made in Devon by a friend of mine.

I reckon wear the ones you have and spend on the bag.

Fab jewellery, yogabird - the dress might need something a bit chunkier though.

jackieno - are you my long lost twin? i looked at those peep toes but thought they were too similar to mine to justify

then you link to those purple ones - i am in love!!!!! not for this outfit but oh i want them!!

i love peep toes in patent and have 2 pairs of nine west ones in black, white (were great a few years ago not so sure now) and pale blue which are about 5 years old and i still love as much as day they were born!!

any other cream patent clutches out there?

for jewellry was thinking possibly giant pearls? or just fabulous earrings?

I think we may be shoe twins, at the very least (though I'm not good enough at wearing heels to actually own them - I just lust after them ).

The pale blue peep toe ones might also work with your dress if they're the right shade.

Pearls good - loads of them. Or a big cuff? But then made of what? If you're wearing nude shoes and bag, I'd find it difficult to know what metal to do. Pearls get round that very neatly .

JackieNo · 11/07/2009 22:24

If I was wearing that dress I'd probably go for a big chunky silver bangle/cuff, but I think your solution is better.

MummyAnnabella · 11/07/2009 22:32

loving the cuff but not the price. funny saw lovely silver cuff the other day with blue stone but cant remember where now

must wrack brain! thought pearls would tone well with nude/cream patent

I know - it's a bit steep, isn't it! I think pearls would be better with the nude shoes etc, anyway. And more weddingy (if there is such a word).

Report
JackieNo · 11/07/2009 22:37

Something like this, but with bigger pearls?

Report
JackieNo · 11/07/2009 22:39

Love it or hate it - there's probably no in between. But the linen bits would echo the nude shoes.

Maybe?
