I would like a pair of mid - pale blue (but not too pale i.e. stonewash!) skinny / tapered jeans.
I want them to end at my ankle as apposed to bunching up round them.
I am 5'10" and a size 12.
I have already taken a pair back to Zara and sent a pair back to Uniqlo.
I don't want to spend too much as I am broke.
I know that really I need to go into town and just try loads on, but with 3 under 5's to look after I don't really get much oppurtunity.
Thanks

I think you have answered your own question really!! You do need to go and try loads on. Different shops have such different fits that one shop can suit one person but not another. Otherwise order loads online and then try them on at home.
Sorry that I haven't been much help!

Thanks simples..The zip detail ones in the bottom left of the 1st link look like the kind of thing I want...I will look in more detail shortly. We have a next up the road as well, might be easier than going into town.

I am getting fed up of ordering things online and ending up paying postage to get it delivered and then postage to return it.
£8 to try something on basically.

I can't speak from personal experience I'm afraid as I am about as far away from a skinny jeans wearer as you could get but am sure I've read on here that New Look ones are good (and cheap!)

Have you tried Gap? They might suit your height?

again the trying loads on theory is your best bet - could dh/gran not give you a couple of hours shop time?

It is up there with the school run dress (not for me), perfect raincoat type quest that is on here regularly!

Anything
here catch your eye?

I would try Topshop and then New Look on the high street - Topshop jeans are really good, great choice of style.

New Look Hula are pretty fab. I am 5'10" and their 34" inside leg fit me a treat. Take a size smaller than usual as they are cut quite big. Oh, they are also a bargain at £10!

If you need a longer length, they do the same style in their tall dept too.

River Island do good jeans, bit on the pricey side (as compared with new look) Also have you tried miss selfridge and Dorothy perkins?

yes i think river island do some nice styles but a bit pricey - I hadn't thought of new look to be honest - although the ones linked are not my thing - thanks anyway Rindercella.
Aldili - out of my price range I'm afraid

I second New Look ... and also agree they are cut quite large. Just looked on their website and they all seem to be half price!!

Yes River Island are expensive. I have to say though that I bought a pair of "sexybootcut" style last summer and have absolutely worn them to death, always get compliments about them. Also just bought a skinny pair which are a nice fit (I'm 5'1 so their short leg are ideal for me!)
Also have seen some skinny types here
I do think its a matter of trying lots of different pairs on from different shops to see what suits.
