Too dear for me to. Went into cos for the first time last week and was v impressed. Tis my new fav shop was surprised how cheap it was

GeneHunt · 29/06/2009 09:56

Do you have a link for Cos? Always interested in new shops.

I've ordered a jacket from Toast this time, I've always found that I can re-sell Toast sale items when I've finished with them and get more than I paid for them. [/justification]

I dunno, I want to love Cos, but everything I try on in there just looks odd on me. Great accessories though

I thought about that dress tatty - couldn't decide whether it would work with my body shape.

I went for this dress - doesn't look like anything on that picture, but if you look at it on the model (worn with a red belt) it looks lovely!

I also bought a stupidly expensive dressing gown because I really wanted it at full price when the catalogue first came out months ago and resisted!

Never heard of Cos - where are their stores?

SoupDragon · 29/06/2009 11:01

Dreary and overpriced IMO.

Actually I've just cancelled that Matisse dress, I ran to Selfridges to try it on and it makes me look even more pg than usual
(had someone ask me if I was expecting another one again on Saturday

Hello, does anyone know whether Toast are likely to cut their prices again? The thing I like is still just that bit too much to justify....

Report
tattycoram · 01/07/2009 22:24

They do, but I can't remember how long after the sale starts

mrsmerryweather · 02/07/2009 10:00

You can buy Toast in SElfridges f you are in LOndon.

Persoanlly, I hate most of their stuff- I had a look at the clothes in Selfridges and w as very disappointed- they look an odd mix of hippie/bohemian/mumsy overall.

I am always seduced by the catalogue, but in reality I agree, they can be a bit boring. THe thing about Toast is that every so often they have the one thing that you love for years, so I can't stop myself from going back.

Oh dear, my Zissou dress (the one with the red belt) looks v frumpy on the hangar. Off to try it on ...

Report
Mumsnut · 02/07/2009 16:02

Really, really foul. Like a nightie. And it smelled.

that's a shame, I thought it looked lovely

Report

God yes the Zissou dress is foul. Being sent back along with a complaint about how deceiving the picture of the model is (even belted it looks nothing like it does in the picture).

I ordered it in a 12 and could have fitted 2 of myself into the outer layer.
