fishie Mon 29-Jun-09 09:42:30

it is still too dear. and strangely shaped. you toast lovers would be very happy in cos.

woodenchair Mon 29-Jun-09 09:49:33

Too dear for me to. Went into cos for the first time last week and was v impressed. Tis my new fav shop was surprised how cheap it was

GeneHunt Mon 29-Jun-09 09:56:37

Do you have a link for Cos? Always interested in new shops.grin

I've ordered a jacket from Toast this time, I've always found that I can re-sell Toast sale items when I've finished with them and get more than I paid for them. [/justification]

tattycoram Mon 29-Jun-09 09:57:15

I dunno, I want to love Cos, but everything I try on in there just looks odd on me. Great accessories though

tattycoram Mon 29-Jun-09 10:04:45

Cos don't have their own online site i asked when i was in there. Don't know if anyone else sells their stuff.

NorkyButNice Mon 29-Jun-09 10:53:33

I thought about that dress tatty - couldn't decide whether it would work with my body shape.

I went for this dress - doesn't look like anything on that picture, but if you look at it on the model (worn with a red belt) it looks lovely!

I also bought a stupidly expensive dressing gown because I really wanted it at full price when the catalogue first came out months ago and resisted!

Never heard of Cos - where are their stores?

SoupDragon Mon 29-Jun-09 11:01:10

Dreary and overpriced IMO.

tattycoram Mon 29-Jun-09 11:01:44

lovely dressing gown
yes, I saw the pic of that dress with the red belt and it looked fab

hoxtonchick Mon 29-Jun-09 12:01:11

ha, fancy seeing you here tatty! i have ordered green daphne shoes, um a mauve/grey bag & the churidars which i'm annoyed aren't reduced. i also really want to like cos but it looks crap on me.

tattycoram Mon 29-Jun-09 13:06:05

Actually I've just cancelled that Matisse dress, I ran to Selfridges to try it on and it makes me look even more pg than usual
(had someone ask me if I was expecting another one again on Saturday

fishie Mon 29-Jun-09 13:47:09

cos looks crap on me too, agree accessories are lovely.

i have got these blue curses i am not meant to be buying shoes.

hoxtonchick Mon 29-Jun-09 15:19:43

fishie Mon 29-Jun-09 15:29:01

no i mean i have bought them in the sale smile

at least it stopped me looking at winter coats on boden preview.

hoxtonchick Mon 29-Jun-09 15:30:56

no, sad for tatty, those are lovely fishie .

Pendulum Tue 30-Jun-09 20:20:37

Hello, does anyone know whether Toast are likely to cut their prices again? The thing I like is still just that bit too much to justify....

tattycoram Wed 01-Jul-09 22:24:24

They do, but I can't remember how long after the sale starts

mrsmerryweather Thu 02-Jul-09 10:00:57

You can buy Toast in SElfridges f you are in LOndon.

Persoanlly, I hate most of their stuff- I had a look at the clothes in Selfridges and w as very disappointed- they look an odd mix of hippie/bohemian/mumsy overall.

tattycoram Thu 02-Jul-09 13:14:42

I am always seduced by the catalogue, but in reality I agree, they can be a bit boring. THe thing about Toast is that every so often they have the one thing that you love for years, so I can't stop myself from going back.

Mumsnut Thu 02-Jul-09 15:29:39

Oh dear, my Zissou dress (the one with the red belt) looks v frumpy on the hangar. Off to try it on ...

Mumsnut Thu 02-Jul-09 16:02:56

Really, really foul. Like a nightie. And it smelled.

tattycoram Thu 02-Jul-09 18:23:53

that's a shame, I thought it looked lovely

NorkyButNice Sun 05-Jul-09 21:38:22

God yes the Zissou dress is foul. Being sent back along with a complaint about how deceiving the picture of the model is (even belted it looks nothing like it does in the picture).

I ordered it in a 12 and could have fitted 2 of myself into the outer layer.
