Piz Buin

What do they "say" to you?

AnotherFineMess Sun 28-Jun-09 23:26:15

Roc - seen it in Boots but never used it, bit pricey or just trying on a whim and never really heard anyone recommending it

Piz Buin - coconut, bronzed, posh suncare

Aveeno - never heard of it

Neutrogena - clean, scientific, good value

cornsilk Sun 28-Jun-09 23:26:32

Roc says French and Boots.

Piz Buin 1980's in a good way.

Aveeno - chemist. Smells funny.

Neutrogena - supermarket.

All say "over priced" and "I'm helping to pay for all that advertising" wink

Roc - Boots. Slightly dated

Piz Buin - '80s (in a bad way grin)

Aveeno - never heard of it.

Neutrogena - spotty teenagers

gigglewitch Sun 28-Jun-09 23:37:49

Roc Lots of retinol in it, good for wrinkles, don' use

Piz Buin nice sun cream, don't use

Aveeno american moisturisers, nothing special

Neutrogena bit 90's, used to love their sesame body oil but over it now

yama Mon 29-Jun-09 12:54:32

Roc - Chic, French and was my skincare brand of choice until they took the spf15 out of the daily moisturisor.

Piz Buin - Dark, smooth and for a holiday look.

Aveeno - Cheap, grainy and fragrance free (just guessing mind).

Neutrogena - Strong but charmless.

EldonAve Mon 29-Jun-09 14:38:39

Roc - stings, for the over 70s with cash

Piz Buin - dark tanned 1980

Aveeno - great oaty stuff, too expensive in the UK and only 1/10 of the US product range

Neutrogena - clean, now seems to be aimed at teens

ruddynorah Mon 29-Jun-09 14:46:19

Roc -expensive, i think of retinol, good for older skin. face cream.

Piz Buin- expensive naff sun care, not particularly luxury brand. mainly for tanning, ie low spf factor, also tan accelerators i think.

Aveeno -oats. good for very dry skin and eczema. variety of lotions and creams. never seen an ad for it, only seen it talked about on mn. sits next to oilatum in boots.

Neutrogena -good for problem skin. they do a range for dry skin, and a range for teenage spotty skin as well as others. promote themselves as a healthy almost medical brand rather than a pampering luxury brand.
