Am I being unreasonable about the 4-boob photos of lingerie models?

Have been having major bra-buying episode- both online nad in shops.

I am now deeply fed-up as I have realised that the models in the photos are in fact wearing cup sizes that must be 4 sizes too small- so they get that pouring over the top look!

Having had several sizes of bras delivered courtesy of M&S, I can see that the over-flowing efect comes from wearing a bra the wrong size!

I am a 32C- I like the push-up bra effect, so I'm not comparing what I wear with industrial size crates, but it seems a big con!

actually they get that effect by being young and nubile and never having given birth

mrsmerryweather · 27/06/2009 16:52

and by having them surgically enhanced!

Mine are still super-perky, thank you, despite breat feeding...they don't always end up like spaniel's ears!

Or they have different shaped norks to you
or they are airbrushed

Have you tried a balconette bra that does the over-flowing effect better

It doesn't matter what size bra you wear when your boobs stay upright of their own accord!

I bought a new bra today. I wasn't keen at first as it was padded - I don't need extra - but it was the only one in my size remotely close to the colour I wanted, and it looked brilliant. Gave me a really nice shape but it was a doing its job bra, not a sexy one.

Actually I am much bigger than before I grew and fed three kids and I am not saggy at all either.

They have all had implants- their boobs are round in a totally unnatural way.

I have got the overflowing effect with push up bras- but to be able to look like they do, you'd have to be wearing bras too small. Any bra fitter would take one look and usher them in for a bigger cup!

Mrs merryweather you have hit the secret to having an amazing clevage bang on the head! Buy a wonderbra in a cup size smaller than you are and marvel at the size of your norks! Defo the way forward if you are after a chesty look. Personally i am over the chesty look now, but would always buy small wonderbras when i was a student and when i was single. The look always went down very well with the boys!

'overflowing' may look good when in lingerie only but looks awful under clothes

I can confirm if you wear a too small ppush up bra you get the norks-under-the-chin look. However, if you can see the round edges at the top like a discus has been inserted underneath then you're looking at a silicone sac.

when I tried this in my correct 32C size, the cups covered my boobs- when I tried it in a much smaller size, I was looking vaguely like the model..well...almost!

No I diagree i think the models are wearing chicken fillets in their bras to get that effect.

mrsmerryweather · 27/06/2009 18:29

I don't especailly want an overflowing look, but I do want to make the most of what I have!- I just think they sell bras on the basis of putting models in too small bras- and then your average Mrs Public thinks she will look the same in that style!

Hmmm. that particular bra does not have chicken fillets- I tried it and it is nice but doesn't make the most of my small boobs!
