FrontRowFig Wed 17-Jun-09 18:34:42

FrontRowFig Wed 17-Jun-09 18:35:09

ds is promsising player or somesuch. hence

squeaver Wed 17-Jun-09 18:37:36

Comfortable shoes (wedges?), linen or other lightweight fabric. It's not dressy like Ascot or something. More like what you'd wear to a friend's summer party.

And a hat.

FrontRowFig Wed 17-Jun-09 18:38:08

i dont wnat to look like the prawns you see on tv sweltering..

FrontRowFig Wed 17-Jun-09 18:38:32

I last went in 1988. I think I need sleeves non?

sassy Wed 17-Jun-09 18:39:20

Hat and sunglacks.Factor 25
School-run type dress. Ooh the Wallis one will be perfect!

FrontRowFig Wed 17-Jun-09 18:40:23

Lol
i also noticed that KEW on their site has " school run" ( or did at the w/e) as a clothing type

FrontRowFig Wed 17-Jun-09 18:40:51

oh yes look

I think they have spies on here

squeaver Wed 17-Jun-09 18:41:02

Hence the hat. One of those little battery fans can be useful.

Yes sleeves are a must.

On reflection, linen will probably crease too much but you don't want anything tight-fitting or man-made.

FrontRowFig Wed 17-Jun-09 18:41:06

Right I need a hat then

sassy Wed 17-Jun-09 18:41:34

Plagarists angry

squeaver Wed 17-Jun-09 18:41:50

lolol at Kew

FrontRowFig Wed 17-Jun-09 18:42:15

i love all that section

squeaver Wed 17-Jun-09 18:42:40

Yes hat with brow but not so big that you won't see the actual tennis.

FrontRowFig Wed 17-Jun-09 18:42:44

I suit a baseball cap type of thing
nto a floppy " drippy mum" type.

or a panama mebbe

squeaver Wed 17-Jun-09 18:48:05

Panama - stylish yet trad.

FrontRowFig Wed 17-Jun-09 18:48:49

yes I think. There is one in Next for a measly £10.
I will have a big sign

" oi oi mn its me"

LittleMysMum Wed 17-Jun-09 22:05:07

I wore a pink jumper dress with metallic silver stripes...mind you it was 1982...

TheRealMrsJohnSimm Wed 17-Jun-09 22:35:48

last year I wore a Marc Jacobs tea dress with wedges. The year before, white linen trousers & bright coloured tunic top with flip flops.

hoxtonchick Wed 17-Jun-09 22:40:51

i tried that kew school run dress on, it was horrid. droopy.

Merrylegs Wed 17-Jun-09 22:42:53

Ah, DS also has those player tickets, FRF. Don't know about you (flicky hair, oversized sunglasses, something in linen should cover it). BUT if DS has LTA county sweatshirt or some such he should wear it. Will get fond smiles, admiring looks and kudos in the playtennis zone.

Tommy Wed 17-Jun-09 22:45:13

oh dear - I wore shorts and a vest top when I went (although a very long time ago) - maybe that's why I wasn't invited back... hmm
