All hairdresser type people HELP

I have been asked to do my friends dd's hair for her prom. Now I have 2 d's and will admit to being quite good at hair but she has asked if I can do this and I havent got a clue how to go about it. PLEASE HELP.

I'm not an expert but I'd wash hair, rough dry, put large velcro rollers in, put in a low pony tail then use tonnes of pins/ kirby grips to pin it haphazardly in a large bun type shape.

Yes, you could set the hair with large rollers to get root volume for the 'big hair' effect, and use straighteners at the front on the bits around the face. then pin up the curls with kirby grips at the back. Hope that helps.
