Er - haven't had this done for a few years and I can't remember what the "procedure" is, but I want to keep my knickers on because I'm very shy.

I know, I know, they've seen it all before but I'm .

Blossomhill Tue 10-May-05 20:28:47

Yes you can. They just pull your knickers to the side!

PuffTheMagicDragon Tue 10-May-05 20:29:48

Ok, phew.

Thank you .

Newbarnsleygirl Tue 10-May-05 20:30:40

So what happens when you have a Brazilian then?

Blossomhill Tue 10-May-05 20:31:20

Then you have to go commando nbg

dropinthe Tue 10-May-05 20:31:22

Don't do it if you're pregnant or due on-it is HELL!!!!

Heathcliffscathy Tue 10-May-05 20:31:25

er....i think they only one they ask you to take them off for is a hollywood (all off....everything inc arse!)

so no worries puff!

PuffTheMagicDragon Tue 10-May-05 20:31:41

eek! scary! big ouch!

Newbarnsleygirl Tue 10-May-05 20:34:16

You really have to take em off!

I might change my mind on that one.

Bugsy2 Wed 11-May-05 15:44:59

If you wear a thong, which is easy to pull from side to side, then you can keep them on - prob easier to take off though!

highlander Thu 12-May-05 00:13:53

I always keep mine on; it gives a better idea of how much you really need off.

Eek, summer is here again.

I read a comment from a waxer saying were not gynocologist so keep them on unlees its a brazilian .

Toothache Sat 14-May-05 22:38:25

Jeeeeeeesus! My eyes are watering! i've never been waxed.... never worn a bikini.... but WHY?? WHY?? Saw them getting it done on Sex In The City and again I thought WHY?????????????????

Newbarnsleygirl Sat 14-May-05 22:39:30

I might brave it and just go for the Brazilian.

I've given birth, I've past caring who sees my bits now.

You will need to remove your knickers for a Brazilian. There's no other way to do it b/c they wax the crack and the vulva, save for a small strip of hair over the pubic bone. Sorry to be blunt, but it was designed for women who wear thong swim costumes. So it's pretty intimate.

Newbarnsleygirl Sat 14-May-05 22:44:50

Sod it.

Pain is beauty after all.

Why have hair there anyway? It's so inconvienient and useless.

expatinscotland Sat 14-May-05 22:53:52

And it looks horrid in a thong .

elibelly Sat 14-May-05 22:55:10

the place I go to gives you paper thong knickers to put on. It actually doesn't hurt as much as you think it's going to. Having said that I've only had a regular bikini wax not a Brazilian

expatinscotland Sat 14-May-05 22:56:07

The Brazilian does sting. But it's worth it and after a while the pain isn't so bad.

No paper thong knickers for that one, tho, so leave your modesty at the reception desk.

Newbarnsleygirl Sat 14-May-05 22:58:01

Speaking from experience Expat?

Never really thought about it until I saw that Sex and the City episode.

I think I'll get it done ready for my big night out at the end of the month

expatinscotland Sat 14-May-05 22:58:57

Sure. I had them done since I was 17, long before they were fashionable! Haven't had one in about 4 months - I'm pregnant. But there's nothing like 'em. Really. You'll get hooked.

i had my bikini line waxed the day i was due to have ds2. he didnt arrive for almost another two weeks though.

Newbarnsleygirl Sat 14-May-05 23:01:14

Ooohh I'm quite excited now. I'm gonna book an appointment on Monday

expatinscotland Sat 14-May-05 23:01:53

I had a Brazilian 2 days before delivering DD. But this time . . . I've got piles so I'll need to wait.

Yeah, once you have a Brazilian, you'll have no modesty.

hi puff, there should be some paper knickers for you to wear, if they just tell them you'd prefer to keep yours own. i tend to put some strips at the sides and tops if client wants to keep them on.
