Am 5ft 3, size 10 (sometimes 8 on top) with DD boobs.

What will suit my shape/height? Everything is all willowy & wafty and am just not sure they are right for this type of do?

Any suggestions? Even about what type of outfit I should be going for?

TIA

Do you have anything which might be suitable in your wardrobe? What's your reason for attending?

Willowy and wafty would probably be fine. In the past I've sourced from Monsoon . My mother does linen or cotton tailored shift dress and jacket to this type of thing, in a colour appropriate for the season. ToC I suggested either a paleish blue (think muted and fairly pale powder blue), lilac or cream/taupe/fawn/other brown. She's going for the cream and brown thing this year. (Yes, my mother cannot dress herself so I get to do everything!)

Not floaty ideas at reasonable prices.

This M and Co one is rather pretty.

And this M and S dress actually looks stylish on unlike the photo and could be accessorised with some colour.

This cardigan in pink or green is really lovely and smart as well and could be worn as shown with similar trousers.

I would say the cardigan/trousers combo is a tad on the casual side - but don't know your reason for attending! Assuming you're either military or dignitary-worthy to be asking for dress advice.

I like the M&Co dress.

Sorry ladies - had DH'S commander round for dinner last night and I got sidetracked entertaining!

Reason for attending is that my DH is in it!

I do have lots of stuff in my wardrobe that would be more than suitable but they are from an age pre DS when I was a size 8 and am now a 10 and nowt fits

Been shopping and just can't find anything! Am not a flouncy person as prefer structured shapes (being a shorty).

Talkingbook - am loving the outfits you suggested and in fact i had tried to order some from M&S but they couldn't guarantee next day delivery and I couldn't get out today due to looking after neighbours little girl as she has a new baby brother!

Have ordered 3 dresses from Next and am eagerly awaiting them this evening - think theye were desperation buys but am hoping one will be suitable!

I wore this in the end:

www.next.co.uk/shot.asp?extra=sch&b=G34&p=6&s=7&n=Women&pid=457-432&exclude=00AI00%7c00A00&returnurl =%2fsearch%3fp%3dQ%26lbc%3dnext%26uid%3d28828130%26ts%3dv7%26w%3dblack%2520printed%2520dress%26af%3d %26isort%3dscore%26method%3dand%26filter%3dsubset%253a1907%26nxtv%3d000%26nxti%3d0&bct=%26quot%3bbla ck%20printed%20dress%26quot%3b

Only £28! I wore it with a short white jacket & black brooch, beads, with beige wedge shoes & bag - it did actually look very smart and more expensive than it cost - result!
