To make sure she was Taken Seriously and not pigeonholed as a flirty blonde with teeth (even though she was one)

sassy Mon 08-Jun-09 17:09:04

Or perhaps she is a covert lesbian and it was sending signs to her signif other? <muses>

DrNortherner Mon 08-Jun-09 17:10:51

If you think about it she never wore see through blouses or short, tight skirts either. Always safe trouser suits. I reckon cuse she is blonde and attractive she wants to be taken seriously so covers herself up.

rubyslippers Mon 08-Jun-09 17:11:39

they made my teeth itch

it is just trying too hard

mrsmaidamess Mon 08-Jun-09 17:12:12

Regina (off topic)I was shoe spotting on M&S and saw a pair I liked and you had written a review..quite a few reviews actually! You are quite the Barry Norman of Marks are you not?

Unicornvomit Mon 08-Jun-09 17:13:02

why do all women who straighten their hair normally, or have it straight, feel the need to curl it for Special Occasions?

her teeth were extraordinary

ChippyMinton Mon 08-Jun-09 17:17:10

She's not a natural blonde though, judging by pics of her as a child, on You're Fired, so I had to LOL when she said words to the effect of 'I'm not a dumb blonde'.

KingRolo Mon 08-Jun-09 19:18:06

I found that tie very annoying too.

Doubt she's a covert lesbian with those comments about hating working in all female environments. grin

sazzerbear Mon 08-Jun-09 19:20:20

Did you see her and Yasmina on the aftershow with their curly hair, you could tell was a special occasion Unicorn!

VinegarTits Mon 08-Jun-09 19:22:18

thanks for the spolier in the title, i havent watched it yet, i sky +ed and was going to watch it tonight, no point now sad

sazzerbear Mon 08-Jun-09 19:24:12

Its always risky watching it a day late!

CrushWithEyeliner Mon 08-Jun-09 19:25:20

awfully tacky wasn't it? Awful sense of style that Woman

VinegarTits Mon 08-Jun-09 19:28:22

why is it risky watching it a day late? ffs i have avoided any threads on it, and the op goes and puts it in the blardy title angry

MoreSpamThanGlam Mon 08-Jun-09 19:29:29

I liked the tie and thought that Yasmina's dresses were too tight.

I thought her suits looked cheap though (Kates)

sazzerbear Mon 08-Jun-09 19:32:03

Vinegar - My lighthearted point was that even with the best will in the world, you may stumble across the outcome - calm down dear!

Karam Mon 08-Jun-09 19:33:40

why is it risky watching it a day late?

Cause it was mentioned four times on the radio this morning, Breakfast Tv, not to mention splashed all over the front page of the Daily Express. Having it in the title of a mumsnet post is the least of your worries!

VinegarTits Mon 08-Jun-09 19:45:58

i have managed to avoid radio, tv and newspapers today thanks karam, some people are just thoughtless, op could have bitched about kate without putting 'the none winner' in the title

juicychops Mon 08-Jun-09 20:07:31

i think women in ties looks good on some people. not in the same way as men, but more of a fashion statement. think they looked good on Kate

hf128219 Mon 08-Jun-09 20:11:01

VinegarTits: How fgs can you avoid the media??

Ronaldinhio Mon 08-Jun-09 21:10:06

felt she looked like she'd just walked out of Fat Sam's Speakeasy

kissmummy Mon 08-Jun-09 22:00:04

i actually think she got away with it...just! suspect she'd look pretty good whatever she wore..but agree about the ghastly curled hair afterwards. are those teeth veneers or what?

ReginaCovington Mon 08-Jun-09 22:29:46

oph fgs how can you NOT have seen who won...

SlartyBartFast Mon 08-Jun-09 22:38:31

perhaps it was a double bluff wink

SlartyBartFast Mon 08-Jun-09 22:38:46
