my mind has become addled,I have been looking at dresses for a wedding in July... and now I have seen lots (and lots, and lots) of dresses (online) but still haven't ordered one single dress.

I am nearly 5 foot...I am 32F of nork, and between a size 10/12.

these are some that I have considered....
option 1 east - no sleeves (out of my comfort zone maybe)..

option 2 - I nearly ordered this but again no sleeves

option 3 I like spots, it is jersey...not dressy enough?

option 4 so within my comfort zone...slightly mumsy? [shudder]]...

option 5 emily & fin

option 6 butterflies

and finally, if it wasn't in a size 8 -

fever

If you are only 5 foot the East and Monsoon ones will almost certainly be too long and therefore frumpy (am 5' 2).

Option four isn't dressy enough imho and is also too autumny for a July wedding.

Option 5 is really cute for a day dress but not dressy enough for a wedding methinks.

Personally I don't like the two blue ones (2 and final) and although I quite like the buttlerflies one, again I'm not sure how weddingy it is: depends on where/how relaxed the wedding is I guess.

Sorry - not v helpful there.

The wedding is in Scotland, late afternoon until late, will be a ceilidh, and not very formal.

Time and Setting would help with the decision BSB

option 1 - don't like

option 2 - like, you could wear with shug or little white cardy

option 3 - really cute, and could wear with pashmina, or cardy e.t.c

option 4 - slighty nun like (not in a good way

option 5 - hmmmm not liking that for a wedding or anything else

option 6 - like the butterflies, very cute with a sparkly pashmina or cardy

really like the fever one very very pretty

My vote would be the butterflies then, with a little cardigan and shoes in one of the butterfly colours.

Butterfly dress in Blue or floral band or embroidered

MNP -That first one would cut me in half and make me look even shorter, methinks.

the second one is lovely, but again with my norkage, I think fitted is better?

so butterflies has two votes..?

I wonder if, with my shortness, that I should be thinking of a top and skirt combo?

I would like to spend less on the dress and more on shoes, accessories etc.

I like the butterfly one and after that dress 2.

the fever one is by far the nicest IMO

I like 3

I think 2 is a nice dress but your norks are too big (or shall we say to low cut for your norks?)

I really like number 3, perhaps with a white shrug and some bold jewellery, nice open shoes and bag

I like the butterflies in the grey best.

I like the second one, the butterflies is a bit try-hard 'wacky' for my liking.

bsb well done for a lot of hard research.

i really like the emily and fin. and the butterflies in grey is lovely fabric but is it a bit sticky out? send for both.

you are right fishie,it is too puffy, for my shortness.... thank you for recognising my effort - I am sure that I have looked at thousands of dresses, really, with the help of shopstyle etc.

thank you for the link millenium, but it is slightly too loud for me!

ach, I do feel slightly, beleaguered by the dress hunt - I know my figure is, in no way "average", but why does it have to be so hard?

I should be the font of all dress knowledge now... but my memory is crap.

I have found a pair of shoes I like...which won't go with any of the above dresses , maybe I should just buy them and hope something turns up?

brokenspacebar. I liked the butterfly dress and the option 2 - colour and style both gorgeous. Shrugs good for covering arms.

A couple of other suggestions

I have ordered dress two..with 20% off, so it should come Wednesday....

Clure, I like the middle two, will see how I get on with option two.

(if you look on the oli site, you can see the model strutting her stuff in the dress,on the cat walk, it has good ceilidh swish factor)
