and tell me What not to wear ???

O.k heres the deal, I am 26, 5'2 and a size 10-12 waist but with medium to large boobs.

All i ever seem to wear these days is jeans and either a black, white or kakhi short sleeved top and i am bored bored bored of it all.

I would like to look prettier (and no i can't afford plastic surgery ) and more up to date and like a 26 yr old and not like old haggerd bag.

medium to large boobs is a scoop neck top isn't it?

and with a small waist I'd say you want tailored clothes

I would go with what you like and extend on that.

If you like jeans then get a really nice, stylish pair. Topshop are amazing for them.

Then some colourful basics. Basic vests, you can wear them under things and just on their own in summer. Still casual but a bit more colourful. Most shops (including supermarkets) all sell them.

Wrap tops are totally in at the moment so I would maybe try and get one in a neutralish colour (cream, black, brown...) they are very flattering for big boobs as well.

I would get a nice summery skirt. Gyspy skirts are in and most shops have them, Select had some nice cheap ones. I would get one in black just because it goes with everything.

Pointelle knits also rock my world, either as a shrug or a cardi, they look fab over coloured vests.

Ohh and combats. Next have some nice ones, as do River Island.

Turquoise, green, brown and white are all in this summer so if you get maybe one or two tops in those colours then you can pair them with your basics.

I would also get a denim mini because they are so fab. Casual with flip flops/boots and a tee or dressy with a nice top.

Peacocks is good for cheap up to the minute fashions. Basically I would look round the shops and see whats in and try a range of stuff on and then that kind of gives you an idea of what you want kwim? Sometimes I am surprised by what suits me and then from that I get ideas.

Thanks Smurfgirl. I do actually already have 3 denim minis but am never too sure if i look good in them or not as i have milk bottle legs and wonder if i am too old for them.

Combat trousers I am on the hunt for still. Have tried Next, Dp's, and h&m, will have to try River Island.

That was really helpful though smurfgirl, thanks

I would go to a books shop and look at the S+T books -- they really give the advice you need.. but from what I rememeber (as your shape is opposite to mine!) I would go for knee length skirts with boots, flared trousers with heels, and wrap round tops or V necks.. or book sessions with personal shoppers...

M&S do FABULOUS natural coloured tights v.subtle! I have awful white legs but I either embrace them (and think loads of people do now) or wear tights and covered toe shoes!

You could buy some linen trousers if you can't find combats. Next, River Island...

I actually only shop in about 7 shops so am limited in shop suggestions! Currently every single thing I am wearing is Topshop so would strongly recommend there

Thanks mancmum, will use that suggestion and pop into book shop tommorow.

nutcracker, what are you worrying about?

You have a small waist and big boobs - that means you can wear anything at all (except for small vest tops perhaps, or things that require no bra).

i would be mortally offended if trinny and tranny didn't tell me my entire wardrobe was crap.

If you really need some ideas though, how about some dresses?

also milk bottle legs are good. I have them and everybody always wants to sit next to me on the beach (because I make them look tanned).

they're better than spam legs anyway.

I would like to wear dresses but although i have a small waist i do have an untoned flabby belly and am just not sure.

I know alot of it is to do with confidence in what you are wearing, and i'm just never sure it looks ok.

I think what i'm mean is you are right i am slimish and have a good size chest but i don't make the most of any of this and look scruffy most of the time.

My advice is to wear colours and not just neutrals & to accessorize like your local college students!

You are young with a good & slim figure so you should look great! Have you tried the funky printed wrap dresses which are everywhere right now?
