Are there any mner's that make their own clothes?I really want to give it a tryI have a sewing machinean 8 year old with ideas coming out of her earsand enthusiasm

diorthey are simple garments???wow, would love to manage thatdd1 (8) has a desigm for a top AND the material for it tooit includes a goth type sleeve and a slice type collar thingy with frilly bits and matching scrunchie I would just be chuffed if I could make a top of some description that dd1 would want to wear and wasn't completely obviously home made
Oooh, I used to make loads. Those were the days...IIRC I started by making an apron. ie, cut fabric then hem all the way round. Sew on braid for ties. Easy and good for practising straigth lines on the machine.
Have you got any sewing experience?
