the hell do i want?

MissisBoot Fri 31-Oct-08 20:25:45

what have you got now?

Beauregard Fri 31-Oct-08 20:28:43

Hair now is long with growing out layers round the front, dyed dark brown every 4 weeks due to the greynesssadand has some split ends.It hasnt been cut in ages as i cant decide what it is i want(have started threads before).I have booked the appointment to give myself a kick in the right direction.

MissisBoot Fri 31-Oct-08 20:30:06

And how much time have you got in the morning to style etc.

And what is your face shape?

Beauregard Fri 31-Oct-08 20:31:57

Face shape is oval i think.
I have no time to style it and couldnt if i tried anyway.

Beauregard Fri 31-Oct-08 20:33:03

I swing between keeping it long and having the layers recut and tidied or having a long inverted bob of some sort.

MissisBoot Fri 31-Oct-08 20:37:00

Go for a bob - I had long dark hair with layers for years and got it cut about a year ago into a graduated bob (I'd thought about it for atleast a year) - tis dead easy to maintain (rough dry, then a few mins drying with a brush, smooth on some serum and off you go) super easy to dye and looks a bit funky too!

Go on - do it

Beauregard Fri 31-Oct-08 20:58:18

hmm still not 100% sure though ?
What if i hate it and regret having the length cut?
I like the look of a bob longer at the front bit i still want it long enough to scrape back.

You know when you are waiting to find a style that you just have to have, its kinda like that.

Furball Fri 31-Oct-08 21:04:01

will look for a style in a mo pfnm - meanwhile have you seen this thread? I'm sure someone is driving passed to pick you upsmile

MissisBoot Fri 31-Oct-08 21:04:30

It'll grow back quickly enough if you don't like it.

Do you wear your hair up at the moment?

Why do you need to put it up? You can always clip it to the side or tuck it behind your ears?

Beauregard Fri 31-Oct-08 21:14:51

Hi Furballsmile
Thanks for the link although sadly my haircut is going to deplete funds this month.

I have got in the habit of tying my hair back in a ponytail in the house since having the dd's as they used to grab my hair.I dont tye it up when im out as my ears stick out a bit.

Furball Fri 31-Oct-08 21:16:11

what about something like this? other angles here and here

Furball Fri 31-Oct-08 21:18:07

you must come to the next one though PFNM and flash off your new hairdo! smile

Beauregard Fri 31-Oct-08 21:19:07

Not keen tbh but do keep em coming.
Im just not good at making decisions.

Beauregard Fri 31-Oct-08 21:19:23

Furball Fri 31-Oct-08 21:24:10

tis tricky as a) you probably want to keep your length as not to shock yourself and b) I also feel you want something abit different and not like the girl next door?

Furball Fri 31-Oct-08 21:26:06

this sort of thing? it's kept quite long at the front

Furball Fri 31-Oct-08 21:30:24

this is nice - gives a nice shape

Slouchy Fri 31-Oct-08 21:32:39

Go short, PFNM, you know you want to.

wait till you see mine!!

Beauregard Fri 31-Oct-08 21:32:50

i like this but not keen on fringe and would i still be able to tye it up?

Beauregard Fri 31-Oct-08 21:33:38

ooh slouchy have you had the chop?

Slouchy Fri 31-Oct-08 21:34:50

Yep, a very french (a/c to my hairdresser) crop. its great!

Furball Fri 31-Oct-08 21:35:27

thats nice PFNM - you ould just have a half fringe tappering into one side if you didn't fancy the whole thing

Can't wait slouchy!

FlameNPumpkins Fri 31-Oct-08 21:42:12

Whatever you do you MUST go with a STYLE planned... do not just let hairdresser wing it, or Very Bad Things can happen
