How can I stop a skirt from sticking?

I've just bought an unlined French Connection skirt from TK Maxx and when I tried it on at home with tights, it clung to my legs. It's just above knee length, straight and with quite a long split at the back.
Is there something I can do to stop it clinging (other than buying an underskirt, but that wouldn;t work with the split, surely?). Is there some trick of rubbing tumble dryer sheets over the fabric, or did I just completely make that up?

Spray your tights with hairspray.

Run a metal hanger ( dry cleaners use these hangers)over the lining of the skirt to dissipate the charge , or see a previous similar thread from a few weeks ago, but I can't find it to link to, some other clever Mnetter will add it I'm sure.

Attach a safety pin to the inside hem of the skirt. Apparently it "grounds" it and stops the static.

Tumble dryer sheets work a treat, rub it over your tights.

wear a slip, and find one with a split-or make a split in it yourself.

Got the same prob with a Boden velvet skirt- maddeningly clingy.
