i've just bought this one

can't remember the coat in the film but this one is lovely. looks & feels much better on than it looks in the pic.

LadyLaGore Wed 29-Oct-08 18:22:22

oh yes, that is nice. as is this one i found underneath it on your link

wish descriptions would have more detail hmm lining? how warm etc?

JustKeepScreamingInFear Wed 29-Oct-08 18:24:04

this is the best pic i could find of the film coat

my one has a silky-ish lining and is very warm. feels really lovely on.

JustKeepScreamingInFear Wed 29-Oct-08 18:24:32

I wasn't so sure about the neck bit on the other one?

i thought so too mmj, but then i wondered if i wouldnt put it on lots, look in mirror and then ditch at last minute for something more plain 9 times out of ten... hmmm

laura ashley one look lovely too. i like a nice simple sleek shape, me.

yes. and it will look fabulous right up until one of your offspring run up and snot/cry on the sleeve or jump up for a carry with muddy boots, or you bend down to pick up fallen child and dont see a muddy puddle...
sigh.
too practical, me.
i have decided to have a black winter anyhoo. now we are all out of baby puke stage at last

Windsmoor is for ladies of a certain age, the op is not having that one.
Have you tried M&S ?

KristinaM Wed 29-Oct-08 23:52:57

i just bought that coat for £150. Does that mean i am old ? blushIts very long and swishy

OllieWollieWoo Thu 30-Oct-08 07:56:01

For what its worth I really like the Monsoon and Laura Ashley ones - but the Windsmoor one is fab if you are looking for a v long one - lots of swishy potential there!

I'm sure I saw a nice red one in Principles the other day but its not on their website.

Coast has this one
here

Espirit also has a couple - but links to coat section won't work - but here is the main website: here

I would have thought windsmoor was for older women but actually had a look through and quite like some of their stuff.
that either makes me old (34) or they have changed designers....
