I have tried them- I have narrow calves (33)
They are chunkier than they look in the photo.
I felt they were too chunky for my slim legs but they would be fine if you had fatter calves!

ah one benefit of having fat calves then

thanks

I have the Bern boots and these are 3/4 length and come up to the widest part of my calf. The boots you are looking at seem quite a bit longer.

Sorry, not that helpful though.

They're proper knee length on me (I'm 5'4"). Yes, they're comfy. I measured my calves at 39cm and had to go up or down a cm due to the sizing, went up and it was a good job at they're pretty snug. If you've tried on a different style you should be okay with shoe size, I took their advice and went up from my 5.5 to a 6, probably should have gone down to a 5, they're fairly generous.

I'm also 5'4
I have other boots that are meant to be up to knees but they slouch down to the fat calf bit and look crap, would look ok with thin calves but just accentuate fat ones.

Me, me, I got them two weeks ago and I love them. I travelled through to Edinburgh{ bad enough experience} to try them on as I knew I would be devestated if they did not fit. I have a hefty calf of 48 and they come all the way up to just below my knee. They are really comfy and I am so excited that something I own has made it onto Style & Beauty

if you phone them they will give you the measurements- height of boots etc etc.

Hi I have just ordered some boots from there. if you select the size and the calf width you want underneath it then tells you how long he boots are.I think the ones you were looking at excluding the heel were around 37 cm tall.

Yes (sort of!) ... I ordered them, ggirl, after you linked to them in a previous thread. They are absolutely gorgeous - I'd call them a proper, full length boot coming to just below the back of the knee - certainly not half way up the calf. I've had to send them back though as the calf width I ordered was too narrow so I'm waiting for the replacement pair. Actually come to think of it, they were too big in a 39 which is my usual size and I've had to o down to a 38 - am waiting for stock to come in. They are absolutely fabulous and will be lovely with jeans in or out or with a skirt. Can't wait to get them again .

oh I am normally a 6/39
have a pair of their boots (elba) in 6
wonder if I should get a 5
and i also see the calf sizes are 40 or 42 adn I'm 41
is the leather stiff enough that it won't creep down if it's a bit big on the calf?

Yes ... leather is pretty stiff but lovely and supple too - I'm pretty sure it won't crinkle or creep. Maybe it was just the shape of the boot which made the 6 feel too big ... I also got a 39 to try in the Lille and it felt really tight in comparison but it is a finer boot. I found their customer services person really helpful via phone.

I would get a 6 if you are normally a 6, I'm more usually a 5 or 5.5, very rarely a 6, and the 6 is only a leetle bit big on me. I have quite wide feet though, so I wonder if that's the difference between me and Millie1? I would go up to 42 for calf size, as I said above I did and realised when doing the zip up that going down would have been a disaster. The leather seems stiff enough so far (they're standing up all by themselves in the bedroom at the mo, as Duo were out of boot trees) but I guess it will relax with time, hope they don't slouch.
