Get her the pink wellies. You might hate pink, but you don't have to wear them. She's 3 and she's allowed to like pink!

I know I know, but the next pair I won't be aBLE TO GET AWAY WITH ANYTHING BUT PINK, i HAVE ACCEPTED THAT (oops) but I think I'll get away with my choice just one last time, and the yellow ones will match the red and yellow bike she's getting for her birthday too!

MinkyBorage Tue 28-Oct-08 20:11:13

Shells, why can I hear your post so much louder than all the others???

MingMingtheWonderPet Tue 28-Oct-08 20:12:22

Pink, my DD is 3 and would want the pink too.

DeJaVousdoo Tue 28-Oct-08 20:15:02

Resist the pink tyranny as long as you cangrin You'll be surrounded by it's vileness more than soon enough.

The yellow ones are far nicer anyway.

That said, maybe you could offer a choice between the yellow and the red? Might that help?

beansmum Tue 28-Oct-08 20:21:00

Get the pink ones you big meanie!

mabanana Tue 28-Oct-08 20:21:10

If you want yellow wellies for yourself then buy them. If your dd wants pink ones, let her have them. THe pink wellies will make her happy, the yellow wellies will make her sad.

aGalChangedHerName Tue 28-Oct-08 20:22:02

Get her pink fgs. It's only a pair of wellies!!

Hulababy Tue 28-Oct-08 20:23:42

Let her have the pink ones. More likely to wear them with no fuss too if she chooses them. If she can't choose pink at 3, then when can she? Buying her a colour she really doen't want may lead to more hassle inthe long run.

she has the red ones atm but need the next size up, actually they are two sizes too small, but we can still manage to squeeze them on, I went to the shop to get some more and didn't like them so decided she could wait until I could get the lovely yellow ones off t'internet. lovely aren't I?!
I hear you though dejavousdoos, I am dreading the pink tyranny, I know it's coming. I am finding it harder and harder to field the utter shite which somehow comes in to our home and used to find it's way to a charity shop before anyone really noticed it

MinkyBorage Tue 28-Oct-08 20:24:53

Oh please get her the pink ones!

DD1 loved patent leather shoes with clacky heels when she was little; I hated them so I never got them, although she would occasionally ask, hopefully.

It was all about me, & the guilt is with me still sad

rosealbie Tue 28-Oct-08 20:27:27

I can't believe you would pay that for wellies shock but they do look as nice as wellies can I guess

pointygravedogger Tue 28-Oct-08 20:28:02

get her the pink ones. She'll be wearing them, not you. She is an individual

mabanana Tue 28-Oct-08 20:29:16
