In or out of boots? Are bootcut flares a no-no now? Are we supposed to be wearing skinny? Turnups? Ohh what a minefield!!!

Wear what suits you! Sounds boring I know but its true.

I wear my jeans in and out of boots, bootcut and turned up. Skinny legs work best tucked in

apparently bootcut are out? apparently no bootcut and pointy boots allowed anymore.

but who cares - wear what looks good on you because there's nothing more unflattering than badly fitting jeans lol

wear what you feel most confident in, the good thing about nowadays is that there is a huge range of differing styles out there, and nothing is right or wrong.

I wear what suits tbh regardless of what's 'in' - those turnups and in boots look ridiculous imo so you won't catch me in them! Along with ponchos (bleurgh!) I stick to low rise bootcut - they flatter my figure more.

i like snow-washed with silver lacing up the side

I think boot cut with a heeled boot suit me best because they balance out my wide shoulders and give me a bit of height. But do have a pair of 3/4s with turn ups - sorry GBG! The thing is though that with all the low waist band and shortish tops these days my back gets a right draught all the time as I am always bent over sorting the children out.

OMG you don't mean jeans in boots is back in style .. are they cowboy boots

FFS fashion is just bollocks isn't it

Apparently high waists have made a comeback but AFAIK they're still seriously 'high fashion'. I find skinny OK with boots but can't be bothered doing the turn-up thing in the summer - prefer to cover up my bluey-white stubbly calves! Don't want to buy any more bootcuts though if they're about to become an embarrassment ..... hey ho, what's a girl to do?

Bum is in and belly out when I try to wear hipsters . Rather a lot of overflow. Thank goodness for long jumpers .

ooo to wear jeans (whistful sigh)

franch -- if you can wear jeans go with what you like and flaunt flaunt flaunt

I bought some 'high' waist ones last week and they are soooooo comfortable after those awful low rise ones. Make your belly habg out and fall down allllllll the time. They drive me mad.

Plus would only buy boot cut, need some balance in shape with my big knockers!

Smurfgirl · 09/03/2005 23:55

Oh anything.

Although I think low-mid waist (not hoiked over your belly button) with a bootleg is most flattering.

Can someone PLEASE tell me where I can buy a pair of jeans with a high waist?! (Preferably a cheap pair, because I'm skint) Everywhere I look has hipster style, and quite frankly they always feel like they're falling down. Hate them hate them hate them.

ALSO..according to my dad who read it in the Mirror (so OBVIOUSLY it MUST be right! {smirks derisively re: tabloid journalism despite 'growing up on The Mirror'!}.. if you are wearing low cut (bloody uncomfortable/impractical unless you are stick thin.. completely agree with commments below..and still wear the blighters!).. jeans and your thong is on show..as tends to happen...

...YOU CAN BE FINED £28!!!

Anyone know if this is true?! And why 28 I wonder!!

LOL SJ . Must confess I have been guilty. but obviously never caught. Also with the 3/4 turn ups I have been wearing them with boots which is all very well until you get to somebody's house with a no shoes policy and take of your boots to reveal a pair of dodgy socks and a few inches of "bluey-white stubbly calves" (such a good description of me Franch).

Its a pity that my only pair of trendy jeans with skinny (ish) leg and high waist are the ones that I use for gardening in with hole in knee, mud stains and the zip won't stay up.
