louis poulsen by poul henningson. A design masterpiece.

Could he not just find any old Ikea lamp?
Sorry, forgot, we dont HAVE ikea here. Now he talks about how to furnish our house with lights. And have led lights embedded in the floor. And lights that turns on and off by sensing body heat.

I despair.

He should have kept himself to mad cycle rides.

They have ones like that in Ikea though.
Pah, men!

QuintessentialShadow Tue 21-Oct-08 22:00:29

<whispers> Did you see the price on that thing, though?

yousaidit Tue 21-Oct-08 22:00:46

but it looks like it's from ikea... hmm, i'd tell him kerry katonas got one grin

nickytwoooohtimes Tue 21-Oct-08 22:02:15

Um, that is quite dear, aye.

NotAnOtter Tue 21-Oct-08 22:03:01

get the copper one ...lush

QuintessentialShadow Tue 21-Oct-08 22:04:00

This is the ikea one slightly cheaper.

It looks nothing like it.

QuintessentialShadow Tue 21-Oct-08 22:04:23

good job we cant afford it anyway.

mazzystartled Tue 21-Oct-08 22:04:46

It is utterly gobsmackingly beautiful
your dh has great taste
It is f* all like the Ikea ones
You might be able to persuade him into a norm 69 instead

lost me with the leds tho

QuintessentialShadow Tue 21-Oct-08 22:07:29

He has actuallly been looking at that one as a cheaper alternative. It is only a couple of hundred pounds. <gulp> even that is a lot to spend on a lamp....

foxinsocks Tue 21-Oct-08 22:07:32

oh lordy, I love lamps too <swoon>. That's not my fave though but I can see its appeal.

trixymalixy Tue 21-Oct-08 22:11:44

I lust after those artichoke lights.

It'll be the first thing i buy when I win the lottery grin.

shopaholicDIVA Tue 21-Oct-08 22:12:12

wow, how much?
rather pay off my mortgageshock
may be then wink
its beautiful though, got some taste.

mazzystartled Tue 21-Oct-08 22:12:47

no norms are £70 or so, £50 for a small one
you have to sit and construct them yourself, like origami, its fun
[we have one in our front room]

Tn0g Tue 21-Oct-08 22:14:13

I like it too QS

would make a statement wouldn't it?

QuintessentialShadow Tue 21-Oct-08 22:14:18

I like the enigma 425 and the snowball

QuintessentialShadow Tue 21-Oct-08 22:15:29

It would make a statement. Not sure what that statement would be. I have to think about that.

I am too big for my house/boots.
I have more money than sense
We are design connouseurs

QuintessentialShadow Tue 21-Oct-08 22:16:30

the last one was tongue in cheek. grin

mazzystartled Tue 21-Oct-08 22:17:17
