home hot waxing - poetic waxing kit in particular

Any suggestions on what to use? Over the summer I tried Sally Hansen in the US which was microwavable and I think I could have gotten the hang of it. Bit messy, but they all are. I know Bliss does the Poetic one - is it good?

I want to do my lips, eyebrows if possible and bikini line.

I usually have threading done on my eyebrows and lips but was considering home waxing as it's more convenient and cheaper. And I think threading hurts like hell.

Oh please, someone must know about this. I have a moustache and unibrow and look like a caveman. My pubic hair is tucked into my boots (but doing a fine job of keeping my legs warm, admittedly).

Help!

the Poetic one is great for teh experienced waxer because it really does grab even the shortest of hairs.

i don't do my eyebrows after making a mess out of them once, however.

Thanks. How do you get said experience? Is it worth it to buy a tub and just get on with it? The microwavable one, right?

Threading is £12 a pop, so figure it's worth learning to do.

i used to have all my waxing done in a salon for years, and i'm VERY hairy.

then i started doing more and more at home with different waxes, that's how i got to be where i can do it myself.

trial and error.

i own my own wax heater so i don't use a microwave for my wax.

Which wax heater? It'd be easier if I could plug it in closer to the bathroom rather than running back and forth from the microwave.

Thanks!

Thanks - will have a look.

Have you seen this? I have my mom ship mine over when it arrives. It keeps me in lotions and potions for very little for months.

Just get a bog standard one in Sally's. Mine's still going strong nearly 7 years later!

Oh, I love it but then again, lotions and potions are my downfall, so that satisfies me for a few months and I end up spending less.

It has some great stuff in it. By "great stuff" I mean stuff I want! ;)
