They are lovely - I cannot justify another pair of boots though. Already have black patent ones,

oh no, I don't like those at all. But then, I'm not mad keen on patent. I can just about handle it on a strappy sandal, but a block of it like this is un po' troppo for me.

Will you be purchasing?

honestfriend Thu 09-Oct-08 22:05:05

is this a new Clarks website instead of the hopeless one that they used to have?

Gobbledigook Thu 09-Oct-08 22:36:37

drooool

Gobbledigook Thu 09-Oct-08 23:11:42

what do you think of thse

FimboGotAxed Thu 09-Oct-08 23:16:50

Those Wallis shoes look like they could dance alone on SCD.

Gobbledigook Thu 09-Oct-08 23:21:07

LOVE!

LetThemEatCake Thu 09-Oct-08 23:23:42

who the hell writes the blurbs on the Boden catalogue products? they're dire!!

those wallis shoes are well cheap!! (cost, I mean - not in a tacky street corner way)

NotAnOtterinaPoolOfSpew Thu 09-Oct-08 23:23:56

went into local clarks blush i am a massive clarks refusenik so it was difficult

of course no grey boots in stock but tried this instead just for size
i commented to the women that i looked a bit fettishist but one was too old to care and the other was polsh and barely spoke any english and kind of agreeed all to readily which further shocked the older one ...then my toddler dropped his apple and the baby started crying so i made my - feeble- excuses and left

NotAnOtterinaPoolOfSpew Fri 10-Oct-08 17:45:00

suffice to say i think they 'come -up' true to sizes

PandaG Fri 10-Oct-08 17:51:43

heel snapped off my boots today - I am in dire need of a new pair. I can't walk far in heels though - and am fat of calf. Any suggestions for me?

I could have say 2" heels and wear when not walking too far, and flats for everyday. WOuld love navy or grey maybe, as am a summer and don't wear much black

NotAnOtterinaPoolOfSpew Fri 10-Oct-08 17:54:37

panda the heel on those long grey boots malory linked to is soo easy

its actually a platform under main part of foot so heel only a couple of inches just looks higher

PandaG Fri 10-Oct-08 17:54:51

Do like the boots in the OP - but doubt they would fit my fat calves, and would I be able to walk in them?...could I justify £120 on boots?

bleurgh Fri 10-Oct-08 17:56:49

Even ones that will be out of fashion so quickly ..?

PandaG Fri 10-Oct-08 17:59:00

hmm, am taking my goddaughter shopping tomorrow - maybe she would like a trip to the local clarkes so I can try them on?

do you really think they will date quickly?

NotAnOtterinaPoolOfSpew Fri 10-Oct-08 18:01:48

they will do a couple of seasons - boots generally only do anyway

expatinscotland Fri 10-Oct-08 18:03:23

only a couple of seasons? i've had boots since 1989 that are still going strong.

i have two pairs of Clark's that are on their 7th season.

find a good cobbler.

skyatnight Fri 10-Oct-08 18:04:30

Wow - you can buy from Clarks online now. I wrote to them and suggested they had an online sales site.

DarrellRivers Fri 10-Oct-08 18:05:44

I have a pair of Hobbs boots that I was frightened to discover I have had 10 years
10 years
and still stylish
{mutters to herself again, 10 years)
