Those black Clarks ones are lovely,a friend has a pair. The grey and purple ones are too...
Am in to grey this year in big way since I went from blonde to brunette.I have the grey sweater dress from Boden with the ruffle that looks good with boots..and purple tightsgrin
Can you get into a Kew? they have loads of tops in sludgy colours that are great quality.
Autograph and Limited Collection have some great knitwear in at the moment also
I saw a long cardigan in Monsoon which was good as well.
Oh,just remembered where else I have seen tees and tops in your colours..White Stuff.

If you can do flats I would go for the flats tbh,you would wear them more I think

You need GAP for basic t-shirts, long sleeves etc.

I got one that is brown/grey and black stripey and it's great for putting under shorter sleeved cardigans.

On my shopping list for tomorrow is also a wide belt to update long cardigans from last year.

The Clarks flat mary janes are lovely- saw them yesterday and was tempted. Love the pinky, purply pair but not sure how much I'd wear them vs boots. You might cos you are working - i would wear them if I went 'out' to work rather than being in my own office (where I change in to PJs once I get in from school run grin)

Gap's got some nice long-sleeved t-shirts, merino wool jumpers and long cardies which all look great layered with jeans tucked in to boots.

Oh and Zara's got some nice tunicy things and skirts (the only place I can find any winter skirts this year)

SilentTerror Tue 07-Oct-08 19:51:03

Forgot Gap,Gobbldigook. Never think of it tbh.Agree though, they do the good quality/wash well sludgy tees very well!
Fat Face have a long grey sleeveless cardigan, more a charcoal,in this year which is good.Don't think it is on website but is in catalogue.

I am large of nork and am most pleased with my boden scoop neck tees that I bought last week. In navy (boring wouldn't buy again), stripy green and pinky red.

Very pleasing. I think they are called the Parisienne Tee or something equally ludicrous.

StressedoutGobbledigook Tue 07-Oct-08 21:20:07

yes, one of those computer animated 'chicks' grin

Mind you I am size 8 with 28DD and I DO NOT look like a centrefold chick grin

StressedoutGobbledigook Tue 07-Oct-08 21:20:27

Mind you DD is far from an F

tiredemma Tue 07-Oct-08 21:23:01

bet you do.

StressedoutGobbledigook Tue 07-Oct-08 21:24:11

No, really.
According to my mother I look like 'a piece of string'.

Which, btw, is UTTER RUBBISH

moodlumthehoodlum Tue 07-Oct-08 22:58:30

LOL stressedout. If only I looked like some string. I look more like old rope.

Malory, the tops i got from boden are brilliantly longer than usual (i have always struggled with the same problem), so thus much more flattering than Johnnie's usual offering.

They sound divine, and something worthy of resting a weary head on.
