I want some nice silver jewellery that's as far away from Argos and H. Samuel as you can get!

this sort of thing
I like the stuff that looks like it was either made in 500BC or by a silversmith with a fine art degree.

Dont want much

I just linked to this site on another thread - some of the stuff is lovely. What sort of budget do you have?

If you have a massive budget, I'm currently really coveting these ones, but there are no prices on the website, and the only one I can find is a bracelet for £80-odd. so I guess it's all really pricey.

OOoh a woman after my own heart

I'm a jewellery designer by trade,I use Sterling Silver and semi precious stones at the moment, but I have just started learning to work with PMC, its a clay that when fired with a blow torch turns into Real Silver. You can pretty much make anything you like .

My PMC designs aren't good enough to show at the moment, but there are a lot of good PMC artists out there, doing a PMC Artists search on Google would give you thousands to choose from.

Just to give you an idea , here is a link to a PMC artist I admire

Hmm, not sure Jackieno, I would go to £80 for something fabulous but I am incredibly fussy. The Angel Wings pendant was the only thing i liked.
Ooh am liking the Etsy site, already found things I could go for - thank you!

Ooh JackieNo, I've got one of those braclets - I got it in the Plumo sale. It was still expensive though, £50-ish, but I love it. It's the multi tubes one but on taupe cord not black

Do you know, those multi strand cord bracelets, it would be so easy to make and you could buy your own charms for them.

I might do that actually.

Apart from they're big liars the sellers in the Thomas sabo shop in Selfridges - i went in last month and fell in love with an amethyst ring. Tried to buy it but they didn't have my size. I was glad cos when i went home and looked it up on the net it was only amethyst coloured crystal. And I'd specifically asked in the shop if it was amethyst.

Nbg - if you decide to try making some, I'd love to see them.

JN, definately!
I'm just looking at some cord now

I've got some clasps and things like that already.

I can't quite figure out why those bracelets cost so much.
Leather cord is so cheap and silver charms aren't expensive either.

Nbg they're expensive cos they're designer daaaarllling

Being in the business and knowing how much these designs cost to make me.They're putting a HUGE mark up on them.

I do have a website, I've got a bit on it ,and loads to put on.I'm trying to make as much as I can at the moment so I've plenty to put on in time for Xmas.

It's quite time consuming putting it all on the website so I tend to put a bulk lots on at one time.
