The first ones are immeasurably better

anyfucker Sun 05-Oct-08 22:35:49

sorry faq, they are both 'orrid

FAQ Sun 05-Oct-08 22:37:31

anyfucker - fair enough can you find me a nice pair of boots with that type of heel (must be that type of heel as I need to be able to play the organ in them) and not knee length ones (as I'm a short arse and look crap in them) then please smile

moondog Sun 05-Oct-08 22:48:07

I think the first are great. Well funky.
The second are awful. The kind of thing that women in fleeces and bad jeans wear whilst buying custard tarts in M & S.

FAQ Sun 05-Oct-08 22:51:21

pmsl @ moondogs (rather honest) opinion of the 2nd pair grin

fly london are fab

can be tried on in office and then bought cheaper online wink

do you like wedges or need an actual heel?

Cadelaide Sun 05-Oct-08 22:52:30

moondog has it! grin

moondog Sun 05-Oct-08 22:53:07

pmsl at the way you can address 'anyfucker' with a straight face grin

FAQ Sun 05-Oct-08 22:54:09

I'm not sure I could play the organ in wedges grin - and I think the heels on those ones would be too thin - need something a bit chunkier (yes I know I'm an awkward so and so lol)

anyfucker Sun 05-Oct-08 22:56:39

moondog, I am completely serious smile

faq, you don't ask for much eh?

FAQ Sun 05-Oct-08 22:56:49

who said I had a straight face wink

anyfucker Sun 05-Oct-08 22:57:25

ok, heels, chunky, not-crap

gimme a mo

FAQ Sun 05-Oct-08 22:59:21

no I'm very easy to please anyfucker wink grin - I already have dressy shoes, and boots with nice heels for going out in - but I need my "everyday, organ playing possible" ones replacing (as they have holes in the bottom of the heels and have worn down so much that they're not actually flat anymore - which is proving a health hazard now it's getting wet)hmm

YThe pilgrim look may go down a storm in churcxh. Consider accessorising with a stiff linen peaked cap.

moondog Sun 05-Oct-08 23:06:27

Yer wot??
They are vile.
Vile

FAQ Sun 05-Oct-08 23:08:32

oh god I hate that hymn - we had to sing it EVERY week at school as our school was linked to Elstow Abbey where John Bunyan preached blah blah blah

They are nice - but I think the heel will be too narrow

FAQ Sun 05-Oct-08 23:13:21

thanks for the other links - think I'm going to order the 1st pair (pilgrim boots wink) - I need them ASAP (nearly twisted my bloody ankle the other day when I slipped in these ones) and if I order from anywhere but littlewoods I'll have to wait until the end of the month - whereas with littlewoods I can pay at the end of the month and get them soon........
