I have some black strappies but they look odd.

Not sure if it is cause they are black or cause they have an ankle strap or not.

I have a gorgeous red evening dress and I wear strappy, sparkly silver heel with it.

It is a bit deeper that pillar box red, swingy skirt on it an dit falls just below my knee.

I have gold shoes but they looked wrong. Don't have silver.

A I have a lovley pair of black/brown leopeard print peep toes which a friend said would go lovley, but I'm not convinced - what do you think?

I can't help but think that in silver shoes I'll look like I should be in strictly come dancing.

What shade of red? If a deep red then black velvet shoes would look fab?

Report
Szyslak · 02/10/2008 12:06

Not red.

red shoes are fab, but they will never be exactly the smae shade so will look wrong.

leopard could work.

My silver shoes would look great on strictly come dancing. But then I see that as a Goood Thing

I was gonna say red too - the shade might not have to be exact, just the tone - if you know what I mean!!

NOT red

impossible to match and can look very Lady Of The Night

silver or gold or bronze, depending on dress

Oh I have a gold pair with bronzy twisty bits on the toes.

Good, I have a few options now without buying new. I am strangley drawn to the leopeard print idea now...

Red shoes great with a black dress.

Report
ghosty · 02/10/2008 13:59

No, not red. I went to a wedding and the bride had a bright red dress on (which was a bit suss anyway) and red shoes. The shoes didn't match exactly and they screamed out ... it was terrible.

I would have said strappy - but really strappy (little thin straps iyswim?) probably silver like others suggested.
