I'm short 5ft1 fat size 20/22 , very large of nork, dont like to show my back or arms, Oh and almost 50, so dont want to look like Mutton.

We are actually having a Christmas Do this year, (were the average age of the other wives is 25, with beautiful figures and no wrinkles) so want to look halfway decent!

We are going here

Please help!!!!!!!!!!!

TheConfusedOne Thu 25-Sep-08 17:16:28

Now that I do like, Love the colour, have olive skin and dark hair and can carry bright colours.

eg apple, pear, brick etc

TheConfusedOne Thu 25-Sep-08 17:18:59

No dress to 'frilly' tend to like more classic things, and colour did I say that!

Not sure of your budget but I have bought a few things from [ here]. They are online obv but also have depts in House of Fraser and John Lewis I think. That's where I first came across them.

Aargh - my links are not working on a new keyboard. Google Chesca.

TheConfusedOne Thu 25-Sep-08 17:21:41

CountessDracula Thu 25-Sep-08 17:22:19

CountessDracula Thu 25-Sep-08 17:24:58

apples don't have bums

you can find out here

TheConfusedOne Thu 25-Sep-08 17:26:26

Nice Buda, but their evening clothes feel a bit for older women, don't want to look like mutton, but not like a granny either (even if I am)

Budget up to about £200.00.

TheConfusedOne Thu 25-Sep-08 17:28:15

CD that is where I got my shape thing from, closest to what I look at in the mirror was a apple.

TheConfusedOne Thu 25-Sep-08 17:29:22

Actually looking again think I am a Cello.

pointydog Thu 25-Sep-08 17:31:07

hmmm, cd's first dress is very nice indeed. You could make it look very sexy

TheConfusedOne Thu 25-Sep-08 17:32:05

like this one but would have to cover my arms with something.
