I've never really got on with Mac but love Bobbi Brown. If ever there was a time when you need to let the overly-made-up ladies get their claws on you, this is it . Will you have the chance to go in and let them do the whole spelling/testing spiel?

Re - is it worth the extra money - I would say yes. Not a necessity, obviously, but I think there's a definate difference in quality.

Oooh - they've got such a broad range that I could even begin to give advice on colours. And surely half the fun of the treat is going and trying them on in the shop? How about you get the lady to do a trial make over on you!

Happy birthday for next week!

it's the quality of Mac and BB that make the colours stay truer...they don't go muddy and they don't disappear halfway through the day...I love Mac eyeshadow and I love BB lip glosses and bronzer

That would be selling, not spelling . I'm not casting doubts on your spelling skills.

I went for a Bobbi Brown makeover a few weeks back and splurged on so much stuff that i felt sick when i got home.

BUT...experimenting (as taught) has demonstrated to me straight away that it was worth it. Everything is so lovely and glides on so easily. It's just the look I wanted. I am delighted.

No mnore cheap crap fro em.

YES.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No question !!!!!!!!!!!!

I use MAC eye shadows (pigments) and they last all day..unlike cheaper brands imo. Gorgeous colours as well.

Do it!!!!!!!!!!!

No
The woman did me in what is apparently the signature BB look and gave me a booklet describing all the steps in which she wrote the product names in appropriaTE order.

Love Bobbi Brown lipgloss. I have lots of bits of half used cheaper stuff, but when I buy Bobbi Brown lip stuff, I use every scrap, so yes, worth it to me.
Makeover at the counter is free, and really good there. ie you don't look like a drag queen.

Moondog, where did you go to get it done?

Yep Bobbi Brown is really good. Costs a lot but I think is worth it. Let them have a go at you.

It's called 'eye brightener' and without direction would never have got it. Just a boring little pit of brown stuff. But, blended over lid and under eye it's unreal. Doesn't have that slightly flourescent sparkly tint of Touche Eclat type stuff.
Aye, tinte moisturiser is fab and she taught me how to apply it with a brush whach has been another enormous revelation to me.

Honestly, am very sceptical of stuff like this but it has made a big difference. Well worth the ££££££££ (Put it this way-I had to tell dh that BB was a CLOTHES SHOP OR HE WOULD HAVE HAD A HAEMOTOMA!)

All the counter girls are nice, and there really is no hard sell at all. They can do your whole face and you walk away with a lipstick and it's totally fine.

Bobbi brown lipsticks are great and last for ages (I mean on face and in tube). I love the Tea Rose colour.
