i need a shoe i can stand up all day in, that will be comfy and won't press on my little toe which still hasn't recovered from it's trauma a few weeks ago.

and will be warmish and dry.

and flat.

i normally weasr chelsea boots which are lovely but even they are sore now.

It's got to be Uggs. Or Ugg-style boots. They're like big cosy slippers. I can't take mine off. In the past few weeks, I have seamlessly moved from flip flops to Uggs, avoiding all other footwear

oh! x posts! sorry.

how long does it take for a broken toe to feel normal again? all bruising has gone now and it's ok in my birkies or slippers but anything else is really sore still.

Blimey! if you saw the state of Ds's teacher last year, you my dear, could get away with anything...you could never look as bad as her if you tried, so be comfy hun!

Blundstone Chelsea boots. I have been wearing them every winter for about 15 years. Flat, wide, comfy, big sizes (I normally wear an 8 and wear these in a 6 UK size). A waterproof. Look surprinsglsy OK with work "uniform" - baggy tweedy trousers and white shirt. Fab with jeans, easy to pull on and off whenever.

Birkies of course!
Well footprints, which are sort of suedey sneakery things made by Birkenstock
I am wearing a pair now, I have had them 3 years and walked to work in them every day apart from high summer. I often wear them all day too if I have no meetings. They are like slippers!

footprints range

my ones in black if it reverts to red which is default

Birkies with socks. No really! If your feet get wet, they will dry quicker than if they got wet in closed toe shoes, and you avoid the toe pressure.

Your loss (or more stylish clothing choice). I don't expect anyone to, but I figure if I keep putting the idea out there, one day I will not be alone. Of course it depends on your overall style wether it would work or not. I'm very me!

i don't think i have a style.

you know when people say 'what do your clothes say about you?'

well mine say-'i'm not naked'

that's pretty much it!

but socks and sandals is a big no no!
