I like it... but not for a boy, and not at that price

I like it! (and DS1 has something similar )

It's cute, but ponchos are pretty imparctical for tinies.

How old is ds?

poncho's aren't just for girls. little boys can wear them too. i think they practical - no wrestling with arms, sleeves, buttons, toggles or zips. just throw it over their head and off we go.

i thought it was a good price

It's certainly bright!

It's too billowy if you want it to keep him warm, and will get in the way on slides/swings etc.

I'm cheap

I've nothing against ponchos on boys, twas more the rainbow poncho, dunno why. Could be beacuse DS suits blues etc more so I automatically think no

sammybeth · 19/09/2008 13:06

no i suppose they arent but he will prob look a bit girly in it. My son loves rough and tumble and if he wore one would get tangled up in it!!

DD suits blues too - not a boy thing, a colouring thing

MasterBatesLePew · 19/09/2008 13:07

My DDs school banned ponchos because you can't always put your hands out to break your fall.

sammybeth · 19/09/2008 13:07

But then i wouldnt dress him in girly clothes.

it's for the preschool run in the morning when its not cold enough for a coat but there's a little bit of a chill. we don't go to the park much

It is, especially as it's hand made and you know that the person who made it will get all the money.

If you like it and he will wear it and it keeps him warm and makes you life easier then cool imo.

(slight hi-jack) NA - have you spoken to TWR today? Just wondering if she's ok. TIA

geekgirl · 19/09/2008 13:08

it's lovely

I love bright colours on little boys - there's far too much kaki and grey around imo.

my daughter had a poncho 4 years ago when she was 18 months and she hated wearing it as it restricted her movement

nappyaddict · 19/09/2008 13:09

thanks for the tip on falling over. i'll make sure he doesn't wear it when he will be running around. not that ds exactly runs
