omg youd put your child in that!!

nappyaddict Fri 19-Sep-08 13:02:04

yes ... why not?

CaptainFlameSparrowWifeOfJack Fri 19-Sep-08 13:03:01

I like it... but not for a boy, and not at that price blush

KashaSarrasin Fri 19-Sep-08 13:03:02

I like it! (and DS1 has something similar grin)

TheDevilWearsPrimark Fri 19-Sep-08 13:03:25

It's cute, but ponchos are pretty imparctical for tinies.

sammybeth Fri 19-Sep-08 13:03:41

because for 1 you have a boy and 2 its awful. does anyone really wear ponchos any more?

Miyazaki Fri 19-Sep-08 13:03:54

How old is ds?

nappyaddict Fri 19-Sep-08 13:05:06

poncho's aren't just for girls. little boys can wear them too. i think they practical - no wrestling with arms, sleeves, buttons, toggles or zips. just throw it over their head and off we go.

i thought it was a good price blush

nappyaddict Fri 19-Sep-08 13:05:25

he is 2.2

Jennyusedtobepink Fri 19-Sep-08 13:06:00

It's certainly bright!

TheDevilWearsPrimark Fri 19-Sep-08 13:06:10

It's too billowy if you want it to keep him warm, and will get in the way on slides/swings etc.

CaptainFlameSparrowWifeOfJack Fri 19-Sep-08 13:06:33

I'm cheap grin

I've nothing against ponchos on boys, twas more the rainbow poncho, dunno why. Could be beacuse DS suits blues etc more so I automatically think no

sammybeth Fri 19-Sep-08 13:06:37

no i suppose they arent but he will prob look a bit girly in it. My son loves rough and tumble and if he wore one would get tangled up in it!!

CaptainFlameSparrowWifeOfJack Fri 19-Sep-08 13:06:57

DD suits blues too - not a boy thing, a colouring thing

MasterBatesLePew Fri 19-Sep-08 13:07:01

My DDs school banned ponchos because you can't always put your hands out to break your fall.

sammybeth Fri 19-Sep-08 13:07:25

But then i wouldnt dress him in girly clothes.

nappyaddict Fri 19-Sep-08 13:07:28

it's for the preschool run in the morning when its not cold enough for a coat but there's a little bit of a chill. we don't go to the park much blush

Miyazaki Fri 19-Sep-08 13:07:43

It is, especially as it's hand made and you know that the person who made it will get all the money.

LoveMyGirls Fri 19-Sep-08 13:07:56

If you like it and he will wear it and it keeps him warm and makes you life easier then cool imo.

(slight hi-jack) NA - have you spoken to TWR today? Just wondering if she's ok. TIA

geekgirl Fri 19-Sep-08 13:08:13

it's lovely

I love bright colours on little boys - there's far too much kaki and grey around imo.

nappyaddict Fri 19-Sep-08 13:08:28

oh ds really suits oranges and yellows. i hardly buy him anything that doesn't have orange or yellow on it!!

sammybeth Fri 19-Sep-08 13:09:25

my daughter had a poncho 4 years ago when she was 18 months and she hated wearing it as it restricted her movement
